Inspiration for a coastal deck container garden remodel in Los Angeles with no cover

Modern living with ocean breezes

This is another development project EdenLA assisted the client to finish quickly and for top dollar. The fun challenge of more contemporary spaces is how to make them warm and inviting while still maintaining the overall masculine appeal of their architecture. Water features, playful custom abstract art, unique furniture layouts, and warm stone and cabinetry decisions all helped to achieve that in this space. Beach Life Construction implemented the architect's indoor-outdoor flow on the top floor beautifully as well.

This Modern Traditional bathroom remodel perfectly balances playful "Grandmillennial" charm with clean, sophisticated lines. The focal point is a custom French blue double vanity featuring inset cabinetry and beadboard door details, topped with a crisp white quartz countertop and dual undermount sinks.
The space is anchored by large-scale white hexagon floor tiles and high-contrast matte black hardware, including industrial vanity lights, sleek rectangular mirrors, and black plumbing fixtures. A white subway tile shower with a whimsical raindrop shower curtain and a "Get Naked" bath mat adds a touch of personality to this upscale residential renovation.

I designed an apartment for a young couple who moved to Manhattan from Chicago. They needed to downsize and struggled with the size of their new abode. The apartment had great bones and I wanted to highlight those features. I designed their living room and was able to fit more than they thought they had room for. Designwise, this was a very neutral design with shades of whites, greys, blush supported with tons of layers, scale, textures and art to bring the overall pop. I created a California comfortable design with linens, washed woods, brass, cane and a lot of tone on tone. Neutral mood with layers of whites, grey, and natural woods. As always, I started with the layout and managed to fit a larger sofa than the clients thought we could fit. Every cushion, the play with the sizes and material, the color and pattern, the throw is a well thought out design decision. The art installed vertically between the two windows and the vases with the cherry blossoms are unique design features that play up the exsiting bones of the apartment. A diverse material mix with linen, cane, natural wood, glass, shagreen and brass make this living room design.

House parties are a regular event here and inspired many of our design decisions. The front door opens directly into the kitchen - the center of party action. I designed the cabinetry as a geometric composition that plays off the art and the feel of a gallery home.

We approached this new build as a seamless, full-service collaboration between architecture and interiors. Every decision—structural, spatial, and aesthetic—was shaped with intention, not to mention collaboration, since our contractor was also our client. Our contractor said, “make the rooflines simple and direct the water away.” His wife said, “I like color.” Check, and check. The bold exterior lines of the home both contrast with and recede into the woods around it, and the interiors are layered with cheerful hues, custom details, and playful patterns. Each room carries its own moment of cheer, while the overall palette ties together into a cohesive, uplifting whole, not unlike its namesake rainbow.
