The cedar tub relates to the cedar deck, benches and beam screens. This view is from the door of the ADU looking out into the space. The greenhouse like material we used on the fence acts as a changing art piece where the shadows and lights interact with it. I designed it to be modern Shoji like screens.

The distinct spaces can be seen from this overhead view. The dining area is separated from the social space by three large containers on one side and from the fire pit by a low profile planting bed on the other side. Inspiration for a contemporary backyard deck remodel in San Francisco with no cover

This Cobble Hill, Brooklyn terrace features custom ipe planter boxes filled with bamboo and backed by a privacy screen of bamboo roll fencing. The furniture is the wood slat sectional from West Elm. Roger Wade Studio The porch roof was lowered back to the original rafter pockets. The 4 posts were replace with 3 natural cedars over the 3 stone piers. New stone steps were added from the nearby creek. Painted trim & windows. We kept the original rocker & pew. A peaceful retreat to pass the time.
