Rounded sides inset with shaped panels, the tendril carved aprons centred by flowers and leaves evolving into acanthus carved cabriole legs. Overall coloring of the armoire is a deep rich blue with wonderful aged patina. There is some flecking of the polychrome, the silvering some-what degraded as to be expected of its age. The mirror shows great aged patina, with some age to the mirror with dark grey age spots at the top. See photos, or request additional photos. Off the central hallway of my clients’ home near the Jersey shore is an alcove that leads to the great room. The floor is covered in wide plank oak wood, replacing wall-to-wall carpet. Custom built-in bookcases are filled with white, leather-bound books highlighted by jade colored accessories. Inside the bookcase the wall is painted a deep, rich caramel, while the roman shades are yellow and cream linen. The chess table is burl wood and walnut, but you don’t have to play chess to enjoy the soothing colors and textures of this tranquil space.

The first major update involved replacing the tired vinyl siding with James Hardie board and batten siding in the striking Shou Sugi Ban color. Revitalize, update, and addition on a 1920's Old California home, thought to be a real George Washington Smith in Ojai, California. Wide, thick plaster arches, old farm paintings, comfortable, ranchy furniture give this place a real old world Spanish charm. Hand kotted antique rugs and fine bench made new furniture reflects the original style of Santa Barbara, CA, giving the sense this place is completely original. And much of it is, although it has been completely revamped, adding a larger stair case, wide arches, new master suite including a sitting room with a tv. Maraya Interiors completely changed the kitchen, adding new cabinetry, a blue granite island, and custom made terra cotta tile in multiple shapes and sizes. The home has a dining room for larger gatherings, and a small kitchen table for intimate family breakfasts. The Quarry Mill's Ellsworth natural stone veneer complements the stainless steel appliances in this stunning outdoor kitchen. Ellsworth natural stone veneer is a beautifully neutral New England granite. The stone has deep rich tones with subtle natural weathering. Having been split with a hydraulic press this thin stone veneer has a rough texture. Ellsworth has predominantly grey tones with some gold and tan. The stone is castle rock style and characterized by the large rectangular pieces of stone. This style is also referred to as square-rectangular or square-rec for short. The individual pieces can range from 4″-12″ in height. The castle rock style is most commonly found on large scale exterior projects and is almost always installed with a mortar joint between the pieces of stone.

This cozy loft bedroom is open to the floor below with a woodland birds eye view of the local area through the many windows of the A-Frame Chalet below. The accent wall totes a deep rich color called "silhouette" by Benjamin Moore Paints. Topped by modern art that brings together the rooms earthy tones.

An alcove becomes a moody bar scene drenched in a deep rich black paint, black stone countertops, accented with warm wood floating shelves and copper antique mesh. Under shelf lighting illuminates the display area on the shelves and extra bottles are stored neatly in the custom diagonal open shelving rack to the side of the wine fridge.

Custom white painted Grabill wall cabinets with a gray glaze serve as an accent color and contrast the deep rich walnut tones designed in the rest of the room to help create a warm and inviting space. These tall white cabinets house small appliances and were installed with outlets in each section to allow for ease of storage as well as use. Continuing with the Moorish theme, hand-etched glass door panels with back-painted antique silver gilt arc designs were created for the Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer units with a custom arc display shelf above. The visually textural porcelain floor tile helps marry the dark and light tones of the cabinets and keeps this kitchen feeling bright and open.
