This is a collection of Marilyn Monroe art print installations by artist Mark Lewis. Lewis is a living descendant of Denton Cy Young for which the "Cy" Young pitching award in Major League baseball was created. When one views the work of Mark Lewis, it isn’t “viewing art” like every art critic has dryly gone about doing for years. His work is immersive and passionate. It draws you in and his palette’s diversity gives way for a broad demographic reach. Bold strokes and unexpected color choices epitomize his portrait collection of actors, actresses, and pop culture icons from the 1920s through today.

Downsizing. It is an idealistic word for anyone that has more space than they need. It means less cleaning and maintenance costs, access to more culturally rich areas and a shrinking carbon footprint. What is one demographic that has been at the forefront of downsizing? Empty nesters.
Visualizing how to actually taking the step to make this change is not easy for everyone, however. Some people have reservations: Where will kids and grandkids stay when they visit? Where can I have my own space to escape to? What about the home office?
Taylor Morrison and Hanley Wood teamed up to create the NEXTadventure Home in Orlando, Florida. They set out to answer those questions and ease those doubts. The home features a flex room with transforming furniture. The Giro desk swings out to provide a work surface. The Nuovoliola wall bed provides a sofa during the day and a bed at night. The space also uses plenty of shelving to stay organized.
Architect Deryl Patterson of Housing Design Matters was behind the NEXTadventure Home and wrote about her design process for Builder Magazine.

Oakridge
Project Title: Oakridge
Project Type: Full House Remodel
Client Type: Builder
Overview: We were commissioned by our clients over at Housekick to create a set of design plans and provide our standard visualization package. The crew over at Housekick builds/renovates and sells over forty houses a year in the Raleigh Triangle area, so having an efficient construction process and the ability to pre-sell their properties is crucial to their business model. Because of our extensive experience with interior design, real estate, and construction projects, they rely on us to come up with complete design plans from start to finish and then use these to build and pre-sell their projects.
Original Conditions: This typical 1970’s choppy split-level house was e “functionally obsolete,” had three bedrooms, two baths, and no real master suite before we got our hands on it.
Changes: Upon completion, the home had four bedrooms, three full baths, a full master suite, and an open floorplan with modern architectural details.
The Result: Because of our design plans and visualizations, our clients were able to create a stunning property that was functionally current, appealed to the correct demographic, and wowed potential buyers resulting in the home selling before it ever hit the market!
