We had the honor of recently completing this TLA Designed pergola for a wonderful client in Wolflin. This pergola featured contoured steel headers on a continuous radius. All steel members were shipped to Dallas for hot dipped galvanization. The rafters consisted of Trex timbers with integrated ceiling fans and brushed nickel lights. Stainless steel fasteners throughout. Completely custom - not another one quite like it in the Texas Panhandle.
This particular project demonstrates the wide array of options clients have when customizing their outdoor living space.
A special thanks to Cleve Turner for another incredible deign. Cleve is the owner of TLA, the Go To Professional Landscape Architect firm in Amarillo. If you have a project in mind or seeking a unique design, please give us a call. We would love to turn your ideas into a reality. 806 690 2344

The home owner’s of this 90’s home came to us looking for an updated kitchen design and furniture for the family room, living room, dining room and study. What they got was an overall tweaking of the entire first floor. Small changes to the architecture and trim details made a large impact on the overall feel of the individual spaces in an open floorplan space. We then layered on all new lighting, wall and window treatments, furniture, accessories and art to create a warm and beautiful home for a young, growing family.Photos by Tom Grimes

It began with a huge hole in our backyard that was quickly surrounded by cement block and a promise of good things to come. It was worth it.
We moved into our first-floor great room and kitchen over the Holidays. It’s a warm, bright, open space that makes entertaining friends and family easy. And it’s big enough to comfortably make breakfast on busy mornings. We even have our very own coffee and tea stations!
I’ve also decided to remodel the first-floor bath. And to demonstrate my commitment I’ve taken everything out – walls, ceiling, flooring – right down to the studs. The old bath will be transformed into a warm, comfortable ¾ bath, perfectly located in the center of the first floor for easy traffic flow.
I’ve decided to do the tiling myself – a daunting task that I don’t take lightly. But I find it quite relaxing. We’ll keep you posted on that!

This spectacular family home situated above Lake Hodges in San Diego with sweeping views, was a complete interior and partial exterior remodel. Having gone untouched for decades, the home presented a unique challenge in that it was comprised of many cramped, unpermitted rooms and spaces that had been added over the years, stifling the home's true potential. Our team gutted the home down to the studs and started nearly from scratch.
The goal was to dramatically open up the living space and modernize the home, while capitalizing on the stunning views the property had to offer. With the existing floor plan, only bedrooms had partial views, with common living areas relegated to the back portion, preventing residents from enjoying the expansive sightlines available to the home.
The completely reimagined floorplan included relocating the kitchen and Master Suite to the opposite side of the home to take better advantage of the views and natural light. All bathrooms and the laundry room were completely remodeled along with installing new doors, windows, and flooring throughout the home and completely upgrading all electrical and plumbing.
The end result is simply stunning. Light, bright, and modern, the new version of this home demonstrates the power of thoughtful architectural planning, creative problem solving, and expert design details.

Hygge – pronounced "hoo-ga" – is coziness. A way of living that emphasizes the importance of simplicity and unwinding. It's hospitality and warmth. But at DIRTT, it also means a living lab. The home is a giant test subject for the possibilities of prefabricated construction. The home demonstrates what's possible when traditional craftsmanship and modern technology combine. Complex angles and curves become a possibility. Exquisite finishes become reality when labor costs are flipped on their head. The home has become what it was meant to be all along; a place to gather with colleagues, Clients, family and friends to break bread and get to know one another.

This thoughtfully curated bedroom beautifully blends cozy textures with an artistic Scandinavian aesthetic. The focal point is an impressive gallery wall featuring a mix of botanical sketches, abstract shapes, and a striking, vibrant leopard centerpiece, all unified by matching light wood frames against a soothing greige backdrop. The bed invites relaxation with its layers of breathable linen bedding in soft neutral tones, accented by dusty blue and blush pink throw pillows. Beside the bed, a cluster of minimalist ceramic vases adds an organic, sculptural touch to the nightstand. This space perfectly demonstrates how to infuse personal style and visual interest into a restful retreat without overwhelming the calming, restorative atmosphere.

A complete full gut remodel of a 4,000 sq ft two-story penthouse residence, this project featured one of a kind views of the Boston public garden and Beacon Hill. A large central gallery flooded with gorgeous diffused light through two full stories of window glass. Clean linear millwork details compliment the structural glass, steel and walnut balustrades and handrailings that grace the upper gallery, reading nook, and stairs. A bleached walnut wet bar with backlit honey onyx backsplash and floating star fire glass shelves illuminated the lower gallery. It was part of a larger motif, which resonated through each of the unique and separate living spaces, connecting them to the larger design intention.
A bleached walnut media room doubles as a fourth bedroom. It features a king size murphy bed seamlessly integrated into the full wall panel. A gracious shower in the adjoining bathroom, cleverly concealed behind an innocuous interior door, created a truly unique formal powder room that can reveal a full bath when the house is full of guests. A blend of warm wood, soft whites, and a palate of golds reflected in the stone (calacatta/onyx) textiles and wall coverings, this project demonstrates the powerful results of a consistent design intention, thoughtful engineering, and best practice construction as executed by our talented team of craftsmen and women.

3D architectural interior rendering you’ve just seen is a great example of how computer-generated imagery saves Architects and Designers loads of effort. The challenge was that the room did not have much space and needed to accommodate 3 functional zones. In order to pull that off, our client used a whole variety of interior design solutions, which he needed to showcase. And what can demonstrate a project better than photorealistic visualization?
