This project was designed to accommodate the client’s wish to have a traditional and functional barn that could also serve as a backdrop for social and corporate functions. Several years after it’s completion, this has become just the case as the clients routinely host everything from fundraisers to cooking demonstrations to political functions in the barn and outdoor spaces. In addition to the barn, Axial Arts designed an indoor arena, cattle & hay barn, and a professional grade equipment workshop with living quarters above it. The indoor arena includes a 100′ x 200′ riding arena as well as a side space that includes bleacher space for clinics and several open rail stalls. The hay & cattle barn is split level with 3 bays on the top level that accommodates tractors and front loaders as well as a significant tonnage of hay. The lower level opens to grade below with cattle pens and equipment for breeding and calving. The cattle handling systems and stocks both outside and inside were designed by Temple Grandin- renowned bestselling author, autism activist, and consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior. This project was recently featured in Cowboy & Indians Magazine. As the case with most of our projects, Axial Arts received this commission after being recommended by a past client.

As part of this comprehensive Unionville home renovation, a custom millwork bar was integrated into the living area to improve storage, functionality, and flow. Curved detailing softens the architectural lines, while natural oak finishes and concealed storage contribute to the warm, contemporary character of the Canopy Residence. The feature demonstrates how custom cabinetry can support modern entertaining without overwhelming the surrounding space.

We were recently contacted by a local realtor to assist with staging a condo that had been on the market since April. The condo located on Franklin St. in Old Town Alexandria, is in a building that had recently been converted from commercial to residential and needed staging to help potential buyers visualize the space as a home. We were happy to help! level of the condo is approximately 350 square feet so we selected furnishings that would maximize space and demonstrate how homeowners could use it wisely. Decor and You DC supplied everything: furniture, lighting, artwork, rugs, accessories, and bedding. There was no yard in the front of the unit, but we were able to create a small court yard area with a cozy seating area for two. The condo looks great now and we think it won’t be long before it sells!

Murphy Bros. once again demonstrates it understands how to transform basements into desirable destinations. These Ham Lake wine-lovers now have the perfect entertainment space to complement their small backyard vineyard. The remodeled basement features a new wine cellar, bar and lounging area. They wanted the new space to have a cabin feel. Murphy Bros. replaced an obstructed view window with a gas fireplace and stone surround. Murphy also wrapped the main beam with alder and added faux beams and posts to soften the soffits and create a post and beam effect.

This luxurious bathroom truly demonstrates Italian sophistication with its generous use of polished Bianco Carrara marble tile on the floors and walls, which exceptionally contrasts the Mosa Classic marble countertop and white recessed-panel custom cabinetry with brushed steel hardware. 3D photorealistic images of an interior project by architect Jenya Lykasova designed for a young couple. We produced a series of 3D renders demonstrating an idea of turning an ordinary small-sized flat in a panel building into a spacious loft-like apartment. To achieve the desired interior look and visually increase the space, there were used decorative mirrors together with loft-style brickwork. It was important to show the warm subdued lighting that creates an inviting atmosphere in the evening

Problem: The homeowners in Sammamish wanted to maximize storage in a bedroom with 9-foot ceilings. Standard furniture and bookcases were too short, leaving a large, dusty gap at the top. Solution: Sai Remodeling LLC designed and installed a "Hybrid Custom" floor-to-ceiling library wall. Key Features: Custom Height Extension: We hand-crafted upper extensions to seamlessly bridge the gap between standard cabinetry and the 9ft ceiling. Integrated Electrical: Existing wall outlets were relocated and integrated into the cabinet backing for functionality. Finish: A clean, white Shaker-style finish that matches the home's existing trim and doors. This project demonstrates how we create a high-end, built-in look that perfectly fits the architectural character of the home.
