A monolithic retaining wall stratifies the entry area into a lower, private parking court and an upper, public one, which is further defined by a series of rough-hewn stone planters containing formal plantings of dogwoods. These planters break the plane of the retaining wall and extend to the ground, alluding to the substantial bedrock deposits that underlie much of the site. The Cabinetry is all painted in a soft blue/grey (Sherwin Williams Mineral Deposit 7652 ) and the walls are painted in (Sherwin Williams Frosty White 6196) The island was custom made to function for them. They requested lots of storage so we designed storage in the front of the island as well and the left side was open shelved for cookbooks. Counters are quartz from LG. I love using Quartz for a more durable option keeping it family-friendly. We opted for a nice stone mosaic from Daltile – Sublimity Namaste.

Appleton natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill creates a beautiful accent wall on the exterior of this home. Appleton thin stone veneer is cut from natural Wisconsin granite. The raw stone was deposited years ago as glaciers moved through the state. The stone is unearthed as large boulders the size of a suv and is then broken down via our splitting and sawing processes to make the finished thin veneer. Appleton has shades of soft red, off white, greys and blues. The stone is considered a fieldledge style with its mix of linear type stone blended with mosaic irregular pieces. Appleton is a versatile stone and fits well on both large and small projects.

A convection and wall oven combination unit is a great use of space. Convection ovens allow moisture to be deposited into the food so as not to dry it out!

The back porch became part of the house with a countertop for charging cell phones and depositing a briefcase or work bag on the way in.

With the CORAIL table base, Roche Bobois achieved a global innovation in furniture in 2020: bringing concrete 3D printing, previously reserved for special architectural pieces, to the general public. In a continuous movement from bottom to top, the nozzle of the 3D printer is digitally controlled to deposit a strand of concrete that hardens as it layers, and then over 20 days.
