This entry sequence is conceived as an architectural threshold. Horizontal shiplap cladding wraps the volume to reinforce a sense of continuity and scale, while crisp reveals and substantial trim articulate transitions between planes. The stair is treated as a crafted element rather than a utility, with paneled risers and warm wood treads. A restrained material palette—natural wood, painted millwork, and blackened metal—creates contrast without distraction, allowing light and shadow to animate the surfaces. Carefully framed views to the landscape and adjacent rooms establish a calm, circulation spine that balances precision with warmth.

These bespoke fitted alcove TV, display and storage cabinets were handcrafted by Claude Clémaron for a period property in southwest London. The green-painted oak cabinetry provides a variety of open and concealed storage. Tall bifold doors are designed to hide the large black TV screen when it’s not in use and maintain the aesthetic of the living space.
The made to measure, floor to ceiling cabinets have been made in natural oak and painted green, in a deep, heritage shade. The spray painted matt finish retains the beautiful appearance of the oak wood’s grain and texture. The painted finish is Green Smoke no 47 by Farrow and Ball, a smoky green, popular in late 19th century interiors. LED lights enhance the units with a subtle glow, while also illuminating the items on display.
Timeless craftsmanship for classic interiors
The classic bespoke built-in cabinetry features fluted pilasters, decorative elements resembling a column and the mark of fine craftsmanship. Flutes are vertical concave grooves carved into the surface of the pilaster, adding texture and visual interest to the pilaster and bringing a luxuriously elegant look to the cabinetry. The lower cupboards feature soft closing, push to open doors, handle-free doors. This has the effect of a panelled look without the distraction of extra hardware.
Bespoke solid oak library ladder
The beautifully crafted library ladder enables the user to reach the upper shelves of the cabinets. The ladder hooks on to the handmade aged black steel rails incorporated onto the cabinets. Made in solid oak for strength, stability and style, the ladder will last for decades.
Built in fire surround with mantle
We created a simple built in integrated fire surround with a shallow decorative mantle for the existing wood burner stove. The fake chimneybreast for the fireplace has a distinctive panel design and visually connects the two alcove cabinets to appear as one continuous wall fitment.

This vacation home was created for an avid saltwater fisherman and his family. As a coastal property, care was taken to capture breezes and views, encouraging inhabitants to slow down and soak in the ambiance. At the same time, the building is designed to withstand storms and the corrosive effects of salt air. Awareness of natural elements, including being kind to other inhabitants of the property, is evident in selections like turtle friendly exterior specialty LED lighting.
Careful compositions of color, material, opacity, and transparency create an exterior that is disciplined but playful. The building is layered in planes that accentuate shadow, forming a graceful backdrop to the palm trees, pool, and ocean beyond.
The local coral stone used on the exterior is also seen inside, thus reinforcing a sense of place. Pops of saturated color balance the soothing palette of materials, art, and furnishings, never distracting from the breathtaking setting. High light from clerestories washes across interior surfaces and opens up views to the sky. The luminous volumes are easy-going and simple, but contain a few surprises. In the primary bath, the architect and client created a unique pattern of custom handmade tile.

Despite the stately brick exterior, these owners boldly flaunted convention by choosing a sleek contemporary esthetic for their kitchen remodel. For continuity, the home’s hardwood flooring continues throughout. Unadorned flat panel doors create a soothing environment in light-reflecting glossy white on the perimeter, with soft matte gray on the bar and island. Beautifully veined “Blue Savoie” marble countertops and backsplashes inject organic color and pattern into the scheme. To ensure that light penetrates the space, wall cabinets at the sink and bar stop short of the ceiling for an airy ambiance, with horizontal lift—up doors. Stacked cabinets flanking the hood are vertically hinged; top doors align with cabinetry above the paneled refrigeration columns. Easy entertaining is guaranteed with the convenient wet bar, which includes a paneled beverage fridge and icemaker. Minimalizing visual distraction is accomplished by limiting the use of handles to appliances requiring them; otherwise, base cabinets have unobtrusive integrated channel pulls, while uppers have touch latches. The hard-working island houses both microwave and paneled refrigerator drawers, along with extra storage and plenty of seating. Enhancing the dining experience in the breakfast area is a custom curved banquette, with light-filled views of the bucolic, backyard, and pool.

Love this transformed bathroom! We breathed new life into an existing space by adding a whimsical wallpaper, a sleek flushmount, a curved mirror, and modern sconces and hardware. The result is a fun and transitional space that distracts the eye from outdated fixtures.

The living room in this apartment is such a huge transformation. It went from dated and yellow to modern and light. Paint is the biggest contributing factor here. I painted the walls, ceiling and the trim the same color. The amount of natural light in the space creates a multitude of shadows and changes the color through the day. Keeping the color the same allows for the paint to not be distracting and lets the view shine. All new funiture in monochramtic light grey tones and modern solohuettes updates the living room and keeps it open to the formal dining space beyond.
