This mudroom was designed to fit the lifestyle of a busy family of four. Originally, there was just a long, narrow corridor that served as the mudroom. A bathroom and laundry room were re-located to create a mudroom wide enough for custom built-in storage on both sides of the corridor. To one side, there is eleven feel of shelves for shoes. On the other side of the corridor, there is a combination of both open and closed, multipurpose built-in storage. A tall cabinet provides space for sporting equipment. There are four cubbies, giving each family member a place to hang their coats, with a bench below that provide a place to sit and remove your shoes. Hoping to make better use of their large backyard, these homeowners contacted us for the wooden retreat of their dreams! With an outdoor swim spa, custom outdoor structure, and two fire pits, this luxury landscape provides the perfect "getaway." Features that are unique to this property include a gorgeous palm tree, a crusher cone fire pit, and a custom-designed covered structure. The dog run was also added in such a place to be accessible from the enlarged deck, allowing for easy canine access. Our clients are thrilled with their new backyard space! With it checking off each item on their list, they can now enjoy their outdoor entertaining space for years to come!

This small suburban yard was filled by a large swimming pool. The homeowner is extremely sensitive to the sun so she decided to trade out the pool for this intimate garden space. When this client is not traveling, she is hosting visitors, watching friends’ dogs, or hanging out with her grandchildren. Our job was to create an inviting space that is low maintenance, drought tolerant, and kid- and dog-friendly. Using gravel, concrete pavers, and a simple planting plan consisting of Mediterranean-adaptive plants, we created this design to fit the mid-century home. The gravel allows for the absorption of rainwater while providing a space for kids and dog to romp and play. Olive trees help shade and cool the space, providing a cozy area to gather with friends. The minimalist plantings survive on very little irrigation and require little more than an hour or two of puttering in the garden per season to maintain.

Custom Brazilian hardwood structure covers the fully functional spa bar with booth, benches and swim up bar stools. Complete artificial turf back yard with natural stone slab decking with turf inlays surround the custom natural stone fire pit! This project also features a dog pool for the four-legged family members!

A freeform swimming pool tucked away in a wooded area that offers plenty of privacy. Natural materials were used to complement it's environment. Portofino coping mimics natural stone, without the side effects of minerals getting in the pool. Bora Bora Pool Quartz Plaster was used to give it this rich blue color. Plenty of comfortable seating surrounds the pool. A Stone Face Wall in combination of a Stone Face Reverse Bond Beam were used to control the extreme grade of the yard and again blends perfect in it's environment.

Sterling Meadows Kennel and Cattery is a highly-reputable dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility in the Virginia Beach area. The staple of their facility is the large outdoor play area that offers a wide range of activities for dogs. While this area was loved by the dogs and customers, it was a very uneven surface that became difficult to maintain after lots of playing, digging, and harsh weather conditions. This created a significant amount of extra work for the facility staff because the dogs would come in dirty from play time and track their mess all around the facility. Owners Sammy and Cindy Hinkle turned to ForeverLawn® for a superior solution that eliminated these issues. The ForeverLawn Southwest Team replaced the hard-to-maintain natural grass dog area with K9Grass® Classic. This upgrade not only reduced the maintenance and cleanliness issues that they were facing, but allowed the owners to incorporate a swimming area for the dogs as well.
