Deb's Inviting Interiors LLCThis kitchen had a good footprint but was 20 years old. The oak cabinets were dated. The client was ready for updated function & conveniences. We replaced the standard stove with microwave with a built-in combination. This area was enhanced with upper display cabinets. A cooktop was added to the peninsula and the refrigerator zone was updated with a more function deep upper cabinet & beverage fridge. An angled cabinet was added to add symmetry as well as glass doors. We selected a classic shade blue for the paint color to make the kitchen pop in the open floor plan. The florescent light box was updated, LED lights were added to create ambient & task lighting options. The cabinets were updated with soft-close hinges and roll-out shelves. The finishing elements were updated wall paint and stunning quartzite counter tops!

PB Kitchen DesignThe key to this project was to create a kitchen fitting of a residence with strong Industrial aesthetics. The PB Kitchen Design team managed to preserve the warmth and organic feel of the home’s architecture. The sturdy materials used to enrich the integrity of the design, never take away from the fact that this space is meant for hospitality. Functionally, the kitchen works equally well for quick family meals or large gatherings. But take a closer look at the use of texture and height. The vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses bring an additional element of awe to this already stunning kitchen.

Donald Lococo ArchitectsA Garden room separating garage from house proper. A repurposed tannery bench found and detailed by the architect creates this handsome room. Earthy and elemental materials are selected for the home that reference the barn without directly mimicking it.
