I designed this new home living room adding in drown mould both at ceiling line and in upper tray ceiling area to visually 'frame in the room' and tie in the wood floors. We contrasted the light sofa's, wand finish walls and cast stone against the jewel tones in the oriental rug, chairs and window
treatments. The custom table has a shell stone top. I found a wonderful french armoire for the room.

Luce Di Luna is an elegant, intricately textured type of dolomite marble. Thanks to naturally occurring, often intersecting lines in the stone, it’s easy to get lost in the pattern. Fittingly, its name translates to “light from the moon,” which perfectly describes its soft and brilliant white-gray coloring. It is commonly used for countertops, floors and interior walls.

Do you know about the difference between marble and granite? Granite is harder and more resistant than marble, as it is basically composed of three minerals (Mica, Feldspar and Quartz), while marble is formed by a mineral and limestone. Granites and marbles bring refinement and beauty to environments. But to make the most of the resources of these stones you need some simple maintenance care.

These light stained maple cabinets, paired with navy-grey marmoleum floors are charmingly contrasting, but not overwhelmingly so. The darkness of the floors balance out the lightness of the backsplash and counter tops, without drowning the airiness given off from the the natural light.

This Boerum Hill, Brooklyn rooftop terrace garden features a zinc fountain flanked by corten steel planters, custom-built ipe wood planters, bench seating, and a bed of Mexican beach stones. Many people enjoy outdoor fountains for the relaxing sound they provide, which can also help to drown out noises from A/C units or other jarring sounds of the city. We also designed these beautiful ipe (pronounced e-pay) wood planters and a comfortable built-in bench with storage under the seats. Check out the before photo at www.amberfreda.com.
