What could be more fun than a slide in your bedroom? This playful room was designed for two imaginative little girls, ages two and four. Everything from the slide bunk beds, princess castle canopy, tea party area, and child sized sofa was designed with these two beauties in mind. We striped some of the walls in a green-yellow while wallpapering the others in an Osborne & Little wallpaper. Laney designed a custom chalkboard with scalloped edges and custom window treatments that frame the window seat and closet. Nothing was left to chance including the ceiling which features a ribbon mural over the princess tower!

This bunk sleeps five adults. There is a single mattress on top, and below there is a queen size mattress. A second queen size is in the trundle "hidden" in the pull-out drawer below. It is currently closed. Mon Amour Photography

Giana Allen Design - created these bed nooks as a cozy option in a loft where the sloping roof line made an area in a room that otherwise would have gone unused. With the lower ceilings in this cottage basement we had to figure out how to maximize the bunk space without banging heads. This box mount on the floor solution did the trick. The column adds support and makes the bunks appear to be floating. The stained wood ladders that become safety rails are just one more detail that the builder and his sons added to the mix.
