Wide sweeping windows up to 13’ and full-lite doors were installed throughout the home preserving the unobstructed views from the home. Additionally, four 12’ wide Lift and Slide doors were installed in the living room and dining room. Increased natural light, fewer framing members, and the ability to open the door wide for indoor/outdoor living are just a few of the benefits of such large sliding doors. The rear of the home takes full advantage of the expansive marine landscape with full height windows and doors. Glo A5h and A5s Series were selected with concealed hinges. The Glo A5h, hidden sash, ensures that operational windows share the same profile thickness as fixed units. A uniform and cohesive look adds simplicity to the overall aesthetic, supporting the minimalist design. The A5s is Glo’s slimmest profile, allowing for more glass, less frame, and wider sight lines. The concealed hinge creates a clean interior look while also providing a more energy efficient air-tight window. The increased performance is also seen in the triple pane glazing used in both series. The windows and doors alike provide a larger continuous thermal break, multiple air seals, high performance spacers, low-e glass, and argon filled glazing, with U-values as low as 0.20. Energy efficiency and effortless minimalism creates a breathtaking Scandinavian-style remodel.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Mike Parkinson, this eclectic style kitchen remodel features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in two finishes. The base cabinets all features the Norfolk Blue finish and the wall cabinet features a White finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz by Q from MSI in the color Calacatta Trento. The tile backsplash behind the range features Artistic Tile with Blue Note Circles as well as a pot filler faucet. Said the client, "We are obsessed with our uber-chic new kitchen! Mark was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I described my ideal space, and he designed something even better that I could have imagined. Not only did he help me create a luxe look within the confines of my budget, he stuck with me throughout every step of the project. Mark went above and beyond to create a design that captured my vision." Added Mark, "The client was amazing to work with, and had definite ideas of what she liked and did not like. via our website ~ This greenhouse is an original design by Jamaica Cottage Shop. The five six-light (true light) barn sash windows are hinged to open out, making this design comfortable and easy to use. An additional window in the gable end allows extra light and enhances the charm of this little cottage. The roofing material is corrugated translucent fiberglass, allowing the light to further penetrate but not to overheat the building with direct sun light. There is no floor to worry about rotting away. The cottage sits on a layer of treated lumber, and we suggest it be placed on a layer of brick or stone, gravel, or directly on the ground. A complete wrap-around shelf provides ample work and plant space. The overall height is 8’6″. The greenhouse in this picture has been customized with a salvaged front door that has been painted red and handmade wrought iron (local) scroll hinges, which we carry as an option. These shed kits take one person approximately 25 hours to assemble. Designed for the beginner carpenter, the kit pieces are color coded, part numbered and detailed in an exploded view. Hand made in Vermont from native rough sawn hemlock and pine lumber, the pre-cut lumber package includes all fastening hardware, roofing, and step-by-step plans.
