Originally, the room housed an oddly placed round vanity that floated in the middle of the room, making for a very awkward walking space to the commode room. A window that looked out to the exterior of the home prior to a Sun Room addition was left in creating another mar in the potential this generously sized bath offered if laid out properly. During the renovation, the plumbing was moved to the far right wall and sconces flanked either side. The center fixture was replaced with a flush-mount that filled the space nicely while still accentuating the overall design. The inspiration for the asian-motif floral mural came from the foyer (the bath is directly off of it) and its original moldings and black and white palette dating to the late 20's, which although had been repainted, still maintained the feel of that period. The sweeping blossoms lend a sense of whimsy and the saturated backdrop gives the blooms a dewy effect as if kissed by moonlight. The goal was to have an eye drawing element in the foyer since the door would be left open most of the time and the was definitely achieved by the graphic use of texture and color in this bath.

This photo was taken just outside our production shop. Sorry it is not a better photo, but it does help to show you the effect of Beveled Glass, and how much lighting can make a difference to the color and texture of glass. A nice design where we adjusted the size of the Beveled Glass Star Clusters to best fit the overall size of the cabinet openings... As we make all of our own Beveled Glass, this is something we can easily do for you as well. The two panels shown in these photos measured - 12" x 24-1/2". The small Ellipse Accents used Spectrum Glass - 152G - Ruby Red. The outside border features - Spectrum Glass - 319-02S - Pale Amber/White and the inside background glass used was - Spectrum Glass - 100G - Clear Granite. Once again we used our Dark Antique Lead Came to match the cabinet hardware.

The homeowner along with Starlite designer Tara Coon created this contemporary kitchen with clean lines and a dramatic waterfall edged countertop. The european style cabinets from Urban Effects create linear lines, but the textured door style keeps the cabinets from getting lost. The Viatera Willow White countertop keeps the space open but creates interest with a double water fall edged island.
