The Arcadia Louvered Roof enhances the beauty of any style home and provides the flexibility of having an open roof when the weather is good or a solid roof to keep the rain off your patio when the weather turns bad.
Eco-friendly Construction
The Arcadia system is made up of recycled aluminum making it an extremely Green product. It is also eco-friendly, helping consumers save on passive solar heating and cooling.
We Think Green
Arcadia is proud to continue the company's tradition with its approach to Environmental Innovation. From the choice of lightweight materials and lean production methods to the efficiency of its drive system and designs, Arcadia is committed to operating as a more sustainable business and reducing its overall environmental impact.
High-quality Building Materials
Each Arcadia system is a work of art, constructed with care and attention to every little detail.
Our system is powered coated, extruded aluminum with stainless steel components giving us the most durable louvered roof on the market today. From our superior drive system, which is UL & CE certified, down to the stainless steel tex screws that secures the system together. Nothing but the best!
Our low-maintenance components eliminate painting, staining, and waterproofing of traditional shading structures. Using powder-coated aluminum construction prevents warping, cracking, and corrosion.

Our clients in Tower Lakes, IL, needed more storage and functionality from their kitchen. They were primarily focused on finding the right combination of cabinets, shelves, and drawers that fit all their cookware, flatware, and appliances. They wanted a brighter, bigger space with a natural cooking flow and plenty of storage. Soffits and crown molding needed to be removed to make the kitchen feel larger. Redesign elements included: relocating the fridge, adding a baking station and coffee bar, and placing the microwave in the kitchen island.
Advance Design Studio’s Claudia Pop offered functional, creative, and unique solutions to the homeowners’ problems. Our clients wanted a unique kitchen that was not completely white, a balance of design and function. Claudia offered functional, creative, and unique solutions to Chad and Karen’s kitchen design challenges. The first thing to go was soffits. Today, most kitchens can benefit from the added height and space; removing soffits is nearly always step one. Steely gray-blue was the color of choice for a freshly unique look bringing a sophisticated-looking space to wrap around the fresh new kitchen. Cherry cabinetry in a true brown stain compliments the stormy accents with sharp contrasting white Cambria quartz top balancing out the space with a dramatic flair.
“We wanted something unique and special in this space, something none of the neighbors would have,” said Claudia.
The dramatic veined Cambria countertops continue upward into a backsplash behind three complimentary open shelves. These countertops provide visual texture and movement in the kitchen. The kitchen includes two larder cabinets for both the coffee bar and baking station. The kitchen is now functional and unique in design.
“When we design a new kitchen space, as designers, we are always looking for ways to balance interesting design elements with practical functionality,” Claudia said. “This kitchen’s new design is not only way more functional but is stunning in a way a piece of art can catch one’s attention.”
Decorative mullions with mirrored inserts sit atop dual sentinel pantries flanking the new refrigerator, while a 48″ dual fuel Wolf range replaced the island cooktop and double oven. The new microwave is cleverly hidden within the island, eliminating the cluttered counter and attention-grabbing wall of stainless steel from the previous space.
The family room was completely renovated, including a beautifully functional entertainment bar with the same combination of woods and stone as the kitchen and coffee bar. Mesh inserts instead of plain glass add visual texture while revealing pristine glassware. Handcrafted built-ins surround the fireplace.
The beautiful and efficient design created by designer Claudia transitioned directly to the installation team seamlessly, much like the basement project experience Chad and Karen enjoyed previously.
“We definitely will and have recommended Advance Design Studio to friends who are looking to embark on a project small or large,” Karen said.
“Everything that was designed and built exactly how we envisioned it, and we are really enjoying it to its full potential,” Karen said.

This beautiful colonial in Marion, Massachusetts is even more gorgeous with its new GAF Timberline HD roof!
There is more to a roof than shingles – in fact there are several components to a professionally installed GAF Lifetime Roofing System. Here is the anatomy of our Marion homeowner’s roof:
GAF Timberline HD Shingles Marion, MAGAF Timberline HD Roof Shingles: A beautiful architectural shingle at an affordable price! This is our most popular roof shingle here at Care Free Homes! Our Marion customer selected the classic color, Charcoal. This high performance shingle features a 130 mph wind rating and highest possible fire rating.
Underlayment: A felt/paper product that is installed over the entire roof deck, underlayment provides an additional layer of protection between the roof deck and the roof shingles.
Ice Dam and Water Shield: After a brutal winter and unprecedented snow fall, many New England homes suffered damage from ice dams. Ice Dam and Water Shield provides added protection for eves, rakes, valleys as well as flashed areas around vent pipes, chimneys, dormers, and skylights. Whether it’s a winter wonderland or a hurricane, this homeowner will not have to worry about ice dams or driving rain.
GAF Timberline HD, Marion, MA Dormers
Premium Aluminum Drip Edge: Installed along the rakes, drip edge serves several purposes. It improves the efficiency of water shedding, prevents leaking from a wind-driven rain as well as movement between the deck and fascia boards. Drip edge also keeps pesky insects from infiltrating the space between the roof deck and the fascia boards. With a choice of three colors, white, brown and gray, it provides a finished look for a roof.
GAF Pro-Start Eave/Rake Starter Strip: Every story has a beginning and every roof should have a starter strip. Here in New England we’ve got to have our roof be tougher than mother nature. To prevent shingle blow off, an ultra-adhered starter strip properly secures shingles in place during a storm. In contrast, the amateur roofer will often use cut-up shingles as a starter course. This weakened “starter course” lowers the wind resistance of a roof and makes it more susceptible to both wind and water damage. With straighter edges, Dura-Grip adhesive, and outstanding warranties – starter strip will provide beauty, performance and peace of mind.
GAF Cobra Ridge Vent: Ridge vents provide necessary airflow to remove excess heat and moisture in an attic. It inhibits the growth of mold and protects the health of the homeowners as well as their stored possessions. A properly vented attic will also protect homes in harsh winter climates from ice damming.

A couple retiring early to a Lake District property asked us to modernise their kitchen and utility space.
They wanted to keep the areas separate, with the utility serving as their working space for laundry and for storing their walking boots after long walks in the fells.
For their kitchen, they chose a handleless Keller Bronx Kitchen in Wild Oak, finished in an Ultra Matt Mist light grey colour. This was beautifully paired with 20mm quartz worktops, featuring an undermounted sink and matching splashback panels. We aimed to give the room character while maintaining a modern appeal. The clients love the new drawer systems, finding everything easily accessible. The kitchen is visually pleasing and simple to keep clean.
The clean design created plenty of clear worktop space, complemented by a Quooker tap for instant boiling water, adding a touch of luxury. Modern Siemens appliances, including an inductAir vented hob, were seamlessly integrated into the layout to ensure an efficient kitchen workflow.
Through the door, the utility room features matching furniture but with handled doors, prioritising practicality. It includes a stainless steel sink with a pull-down spray tap, while compact laminate worktops and splashbacks proved an excellent choice for this space.
An integrated utility unit for cleaning products and laundry was a useful addition, with the washer and tumble dryer built-in to keep the room organised. A small boot unit made from the same Keller furniture was designed to sit on when putting boots on, alongside coat hooks for outdoor wear.
Both rooms were finished with LVT tile-effect flooring installed by our trusted partner tradesmen. The flooring creating a seamless flow between the rooms. We also added under-wall unit LED lighting in both rooms, complementing the recently updated ceiling lights.

Modern Citi Group worked with Robyn on remodeling her newly purchased professional space in Murray Hill. This exciting renovation project included a full remodel of two bathrooms, kitchen, and three offices as well as the main waiting area. The primary objective was to modernize the space for professional aesthetics and functionality while adhering to the strict timeline and budget.
Every renovation project starts with the planning phase led by the project planners. During the in-person visit, Anna captured a 360 tour of the space to get accurate measurements and fast-track the project as well as align with the client on their design vision, remodeling priorities and budget.
The design challenge was to deliver modern aesthetics and functionality for a professional office while keeping the project within budget. The designers worked on several layouts and design visualizations so the client had options. Finally, the choice was made and Robyn felt confident in her decision.
The construction team transformed every corner of the space, breathing new life into it. They replaced the floors, refinished the walls and ceilings, installed new doors and windows, upgraded plumbing and electrical systems, and redesigned the office layout for optimal functionality and flow. Updated closet configuration with custom shelving, light fixtures and sliding barn doors enhanced the ergonomics of the work space.
The newly remodeled kitchen featured sleek matte white cabinetry and stunning quartz countertops, enhancing both functionality and storage. The bathrooms were masterfully renovated with exquisite new tiling, stylish fixtures, and upgraded plumbing and lighting.
In just a few weeks, Modern Citi Group has redefined the old apartment, transforming it into a sophisticated and professional space through this meticulous remodel. The result is a stunning blend of style, comfort, and efficiency. This remodel enhanced both employee satisfaction and new business for Robyn.

An amazing client who wanted to push the envelope on both material choice and green building integration. This single-family home with detached garage is to be a year round base for a professional athlete. The open plan interior is achieved by CLT panels which form the walls and roof, vaulted, with no interior beams or ties, and without the use of an exterior steel frame. Woodfibre insulation covers the solid timber construction and shō sugi ban treated wood exterior. The buildings are arranged around a vast triangular canopy, providing a connection between each building and shelter from the summer sun and winter snow. The envelope and windows all surpass passive house requirements, whilst underground tanks will collect and treat rainwater for household use. Work began in Summer 2018 and was completed late fall 2019

Cherry wood with a walnut stain, cabinet accessories, and a new built-in pantry makes for a warm, efficient kitchen that offers lots of storage for this young family. WoodHarbor Cabinetry was an excellent choice for this high-end home with views of the golf course. The marble, arabesque-style backsplash adds subtle, yet timeless interest to the space. The fireplace + storage area was re-done in a symmetrical layout for a classic look that offers a restful ambience, plus plenty of storage for family photos and games

This kitchen remodel was designed to make a statement—balancing bold character with refined craftsmanship to create a space that’s both highly functional and visually unforgettable.
At the heart of the design is a striking contrast palette. Crisp white perimeter cabinetry keeps the space bright and open, while rich black lower cabinets and a substantial island ground the room with depth and sophistication. The oversized island serves as both a functional workspace and a central gathering point, topped with a dramatic stone surface that adds movement and texture.
The flooring plays a defining role in the overall aesthetic. A custom black-and-white patterned tile layout introduces energy and personality, transforming the kitchen into a true design centerpiece while maintaining a timeless appeal. This bold foundation is thoughtfully balanced by clean lines, classic shaker cabinetry, and elegant hardware selections.
Functionality was a key driver throughout the project. The layout maximizes workflow efficiency with dedicated zones for cooking, prep, and cleanup. A professional-grade range anchors the island, while the farmhouse sink positioned beneath large windows brings in natural light and enhances the everyday experience. Custom storage solutions—including extended cabinetry, integrated dish storage, and built-in appliance areas—ensure everything has its place without compromising the clean aesthetic.
Lighting was carefully layered to elevate both form and function. Statement pendant fixtures above the island add architectural interest, while recessed lighting provides consistent illumination throughout the space.
The result is a kitchen that feels both elevated and livable—where bold design choices meet practical everyday use. It’s a space designed not just to cook in, but to gather, entertain, and truly enjoy.

Tall-scale tubular shades of Polished Chrome are draped in a choice of unique configurations. Light provided by the energy efficient and low maintenance 40,000 rated life hour 3500 K LED source mysteriously radiates from the bottom of the tube and highlights the Clear Acrylic diffuser on the bottom.

The challenge of this project was to bring modern functionality to a kitchen in a historic Cotswald home. A wall between the kitchen and breakfast room was removed to create a larger, more functional space. The homeowner's favorite color red was incorporated into the design and continues the color palette from the rest of the house. Bold design choices celebrate the small space. Dark slate floors contrast with white cabinets. The efficient center island is painted red, and serves as a dramatic focal point. Granite counters are from Pascucci. Homestead Cabinetmakers of Kalamazoo created custom cabinets tailored for the space. A built in china hutch with fluting detail reflects traditional style without being overly ornate. Rejuvenation light fixtures illuminate the space while maintaining traditional style. The wallcovering is vinyl with a raw silk look.
