Home theater - large transitional enclosed carpeted home theater idea in New York with beige walls and a projector screen

The primary bedroom and bathroom are the showstoppers of this phase! Unused and awkwardly located closets in both the bedroom and bathroom were removed to make way for additional square-footage in the bath and replaced with a sizable and functional reach-in closet in the bedroom. A dated and cramped shower stall was removed in favor for an expansive step in shower spanning the width of the bathroom and a new transom window washes the room in natural light. While the previous bathroom was only able to accommodate a single vanity, the new layout allowed us to create double matching vanities mirrored across from each other - a much appreciated addition for a primary bath. Floating walnut vanities boast impressive storage and are capped with tower cabinets with hidden outlets for charging and storing electronic bathroom tools. While the color palette is restrained - black, white, gray, and brown - the result is a timelessly modern and masculine space that is at once striking and warm. Modern geometric patterns play with each other throughout the material selections.

This gold and walnut modern credenza would make the perfect storage cabinet in nearly any environment. It is handcrafted by us here in the USA utilizing only the highest quality materials and it’s made to last a lifetime. The raised geometric pattern of the gold doors and a touch of modernism, while simultaneously are a nod to Hollywood Regency styling. It sits atop a black platform base (wrapped in vinyl to give a little texture). It is a very versatile piece and would be well-suited as a modern TV stand/console, credenza, buffet, or stylish sideboard. Behind each door you’ll find an adjustable inner shelf for maximum flexibility. Push-to-open doors eliminate the need for handles or knobs on the front so as to not distract from the stylish, modern look of the doors. In addition to making these in many different widths and heights, we can also build yours in nearly any configuration. Want a more “open”, “airy” look? We can make yours with an open middle section (meaning doors only on the outsides). Or, need drawers? We can do that as well! It is shown here in rich brown walnut, but yours can be made in any of the woods shown on our wood options page. Other door colors are available as well. This antique bronze front door communication panel interfaces with the phone, audio system and surveillance cameras. When a visitor presses the button, the home phone rings with a unique ring, the house audio system mutes and player a custom chime. Once the chime is completed, the audio gradually ramps back the the level it was originally playing at. Just pick up the phone and talk to whomever is at the door. Just for the record, the embedded HD camera is stored on a local and remote server for safe keeping.

These shots show a fireplace in a second home we designed and built which includes a hidden compartme for electronics and the TV. When the home owners are away, a map is slipped into the frame above the quarter sawn oak mantle, protecting the electronics from theft and the elements.. When in residence, the map is removed and stored in a frame on the opposite wall. As you can see from the photos, the TV has a tight built in appearance within the bold frame surround. Also look at the faux finish applied to the CDX plywood decking, replicating a random width plank hardwood.
