Sometimes we like it traditional! This family that is very active in their community, needed a kitchen that will endure a lot of traffic, and have ample storage for oversized cookware and serving pieces, to be able to accommodate the weekly Shabbos Kiddish that they host. Can you spot the hiding place for the huge cholont pot?

This project focused on reimagining the kitchen and powder bath, bringing both spaces into something far more timeless. In the kitchen, we reworked the layout to improve flow and maximize storage, creating a space that feels both elevated and highly functional. A softly curved island anchors the room and was designed to encourage gathering while adding a sense of ease at the heart of the home.
A modern coastal palette guided the design, with layered blues adding depth while keeping the overall feel light, fresh, and enduring.
In the powder bath, we leaned into a more old world sensibility, introducing classic wallpaper and tailored millwork to create a space that feels collected, cohesive, and quietly impactful.
The result is a home that feels thoughtfully updated, honoring its past while fully embracing the way it is meant to be lived in today.

With its enduring architectural lines, our Bingham Bath Collection makes a structural statement in any bath. Inspired by the St. John's Bridge in our very own Portland, this uniquely engineered look fits cohesively in any classic or contemporary environment.

Filled with symbolic shapes, this living room is a room with meaning. The Gothic arch is an adaptation of the rounded arch, modified during the renaissance period, now as a shape that points towards heaven and to God. We made a round, velvet upholstered ottoman with quatrefoil cut outs. The circle is an endless line, having no beginning and no end, which symbolizes the eternity of God.The quatrefoil symbolizes the four evangelists of the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The accent table is made of iron, hand forged in our iron shop, and stone. Iron is one of the elements that represents immutability and rigid strength; stone was used in temples for its enduring, solid strength. Stones were used to build alters anywhere one happened to experience a strong spiritual encounter.
Soft lighting was achieved by creating a light feature. We built a piece that has art work, finished in our art department, of the apostles and over fifty lighted, hand dripped candles that can be dimmed to set the ambiance of the room. Carved on the front of the piece, as a blessing to the reader, is a portion of Numbers 6:25 "May the LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious unto you." To showcase treasured pieces we made a three piece armoire, three representing the Trinity, with hand forged iron insets in the doors. As our colors, we chose gold and red. Gold symbolizes the refinement of the Spirit, royalty and transcendence. Red speaks of the sacrifice given for us. Above the ceiling is painted as a dark sky with the Jerusalem cross. This Jerusalem cross represents Christ's command to spread the Gospel around the world, a mission that started in Jerusalem. It was part of the coat of arms of the short-lived Jerusalem Kingdom (1099-1203 AD). Our choice of dark colors as the background was intentional as it represents the dark sky on Good Friday.

Set on a narrow lakefront parcel defined by tight setbacks and limited hardscape allowance, this modern cabin demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform restriction into possibility. Carefully composed to preserve privacy while opening fully toward the water, the home feels both expansive and intimate—an elevated retreat grounded in its landscape.
Though modest in footprint, the residence lives generously. Four bedrooms are tucked efficiently within the plan, including a light-filled quilting studio that reflects the homeowners’ creative life. Each bedroom opens onto its own private balcony, offering moments of pause and perspective with views stretching across lake and countryside.
The upper level also includes a family room, providing a quiet gathering space removed from the activity below. From here, the home’s vertical volume becomes apparent, as daylight pours down through a dramatic two-story space framed by glass facing the lake.
At the center of the home, a custom steel-and-wood plank stair acts as both circulation and sculpture. Rising through the double-height volume, it leads the eye upward to a tall Nelson cigar lamp suspended above—an intentional moment of drama and delight.
The main floor is designed around connection and flow. Kitchen, dining, and living areas exist as one continuous space, unified by light, views, and material warmth. A 12-foot-long island anchors the kitchen, serving as the natural gathering place for morning coffee, family meals, and summertime buffet-style entertaining. When fully opened, large folding accordion glass doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, allowing the screened porch to become a true extension of the living space.
Function is carefully layered throughout the plan. A mudroom entry from the tucked-under two-car garage includes a powder room and utility closet, while a generous entry closet provides essential storage and has been dimensioned to accommodate a future elevator.
Designed intentionally for aging in place, the home incorporates zero-threshold access from the garage, wide halls and doorways, reinforced wall blocking for future grab bars, and infrastructure for a future elevator—ensuring long-term comfort without compromising design.
Clad in dark painted board-and-batten siding, the exterior minimizes visual scale and allows the home to recede quietly into the landscape. Recessed balconies and façade elements are wrapped in warm wood-look siding, adding depth and contrast while bringing warmth into the interior. At night, light spills softly from within, and the cabin glows along the shoreline—welcoming, calm, and enduring.

"About this Home: Upon entering, the grandeur of the home is immediately apparent, with 15' vaulted ceilings gracing the main living areas and a barrer ceiling in the foyer, creating an atmosphere of openness and airiness. The living space, adorned with cedar beams and a gas fireplace, flows effortlessly into the dining area, which opens to a covered back deck overlooking a large private yard—an ideal canvas for creating an outdoor oasis, perhaps with a pool and pool house.
The heart of this home is undoubtedly the meticulously designed kitchen. A culinary haven, it boasts Jenn Air appliances, custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a striking custom hood. Every detail was considered to provide both functionality and aesthetic pleasure. The site-finished hardwood floors underfoot enhance the overall sense of refinement.
The master suite, located on the main level, is a sanctuary of indulgence. The oversized bedroom leads to a spa-like master bathroom featuring a freestanding tub, an oversized shower with dual shower heads, and opulent finishes throughout. Ascending to the second level, you'll find a large en-suite bedroom and two additional bedrooms sharing a Jack & Jill bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort for all residents.
Beyond the impeccable interior, the home is framed by a generous lot size of 0.7 acres, offering the potential to create a private retreat within the city. The vision for this home was not just to provide shelter but to curate a lifestyle—a life filled with refined comfort, entertaining possibilities, and an enduring sense of home. As the builder, we are proud to present a residence where every detail has been thoughtfully considered, resulting in a timeless masterpiece that will be cherished for generations to come.

White Kitchen Cabinets: Timeless Elegance for Modern Homes
White kitchen cabinets are more than just a design choice; they're a testament to timeless elegance and adaptability in the heart of any home. As homeowners continue to seek spaces that feel airy, clean, and spacious, white cabinets have emerged as a top choice for both modern and traditional kitchens alike.
Why Choose White Kitchen Cabinets?
Versatility: The neutral hue of white allows these cabinets to blend seamlessly with any color palette or kitchen design. Whether you're aiming for a sleek modern look or a cozy cottage vibe, white cabinets can be the perfect canvas to achieve your desired aesthetic.
Brightness and Space: White reflects light beautifully, making your kitchen appear larger and more open. It's especially beneficial for smaller spaces, where creating an illusion of a more expansive area is crucial.
Timeless Appeal: While trends come and go, white has an enduring appeal. It exudes a sense of cleanliness and simplicity, making it a long-lasting choice for homeowners.
Resale Value: If you ever consider selling your home, white kitchen cabinets can boost your property's appeal to potential buyers, ensuring that your kitchen remains stylish and up-to-date.
Pairing with Other Elements
The adaptability of white kitchen cabinets means you can play with various colors and textures. Whether it's a vibrant backsplash, granite countertops, or wooden flooring, the neutrality of white ensures that everything comes together harmoniously.
Maintenance and Durability
A common misconception is that white cabinets can be challenging to maintain. However, with today's advancements in paint and finishes, white kitchen cabinets are resistant to stains and easy to clean. Furthermore, any marks or stains are quickly spotted, ensuring that you can address them promptly, keeping your cabinets in pristine condition.
Conclusion
White kitchen cabinets are not just a fleeting trend. Their unmatched versatility, the spacious feel they bring to any kitchen, and their timeless beauty make them an excellent choice for homeowners. Whether you're renovating your kitchen or designing a new one, consider the elegance and adaptability that white cabinets can bring to your space. With proper care and the right design elements, your white kitchen can be a showstopper for years to come.

Love is all around Dick "RJ" Valentine, especially when he enters his home garage.
A professional race car driver, entrepreneur, chairman of The MBA Group of Companies, and owner of F1 Boston and F1 Outdoors kart racing facility, Dick is surrounded by some of his most prized possessions: a radiant blue Hennessey Venom Viper 650, a twin turbo Porsche, a 500e Mercedes, and a BMW model 750il, an M5 and an M6.
And that's just the four-wheelers. Dick's garage is also home to four motorcycles: a BMW 1200LT, a BMW 1200RS, a Ducati 996F, and a Ducati ST4F. "I've basically driven everything short of the space shuttle," he jokes. His wife adds, "If it doesn't make noise, leak or have wheels, Dick doesn't want any part of it!"
Driving for gold.
RJ has been racing professionally for 30 years and has raced virtually every type of competitive race car at tracks all over the world, including IMSA Corvettes, Trans-Am Camaros, Riley & Scott MK3 World Sports Cars, BMW M3 V8's, Dodge Vipers, Porsche 911s, Pontiac GTO.Rs and Porsche GT3s. He has more than 325 professional road racing starts, and is one of only seven people to eclipse 120 starts in the Trans-Am Series. RJ's career Trans-Am record includes a 62% incidence of top ten finishes and in excess of 20 top-five finishes. In 2007, RJ and teammate Andy Lally claimed 5 victories, 2 seconds and placed 3rd for the 2007 GT Championship in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series aboard the #66 TRG CRG/Maxter Porsche GT3. He has driven in over 20 consecutive Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, a significant achievement given the grueling nature of this 24-hour endurance race.
He uses his garage to house and service not only his personal vehicles, but his professional karts as well. That's where Lista comes in. Dick stores all his tools and parts using Lista garage workbenches with drawer cabinet pedestals, stationary riser shelves and overhead cabinets with retractable doors.
"We use only Lista equipment in our racing trailers and at F1 Boston. In the racing environment, precision and quality are the name of the game. Lista is the gold standard in the business. So I wouldn't have used anything but Lista in my own garage."

Set in the heart of Sarasota’s historic Cherokee Park, Watersound sits on a premier corner lot, blending timeless architectural design with contemporary elegance. Embodying a relaxed Florida vernacular style, the home wraps around an interior courtyard, drawing in natural light and breezes. The layout fosters a connection to nature, with the home tailored to its surroundings as though it had been in the family for generations, yet feeling vibrant and fresh.
A welcoming porch defines the entry, while the guest house and pool loggia frame the auto court. The living room opens to a spacious screened porch through expansive folding glass doors, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The grand screened porch, designed for living, dining, and cooking, features a summer kitchen and coral stone flooring, making outdoor living central to the home’s design.
Inside, vaulted ceilings, a precast firebrick-lined fireplace, custom cabinetry, and a Lacanche range anchor the living and kitchen areas. Thoughtful details such as herringbone wood flooring, terra cotta tile, rich hues, whimsical wallpaper, and vintage-inspired penny round tiles bring charm and character throughout. A bespoke Gulf Coast modern color palette and decorative lighting crafted from brass, blackened bronze, and white enamel unify the vintage and modern elements.
Designed to stand the test of time, Watersound will remain just as timeless and relevant 100 years from now, reflecting thoughtful craftsmanship and enduring grace.

This transitional kitchen seamlessly blends the classic warmth of traditional design with the clean lines and sleekness of modern aesthetics. This style features shaker-style cabinets, a mix of natural and manufactured materials like wood and quartz, and a neutral color palette with subtle pops of color. The overall feel is both elegant and inviting, with a focus on functionality and timeless appeal. The result of this kitchen feels both current and enduring, a space that will remain stylish for years to come.

This classic mid-century modern master bedroom is designed with neutral tones of blacks & whites highlighted by an exciting pop of bold red. The iconic Bertoia Diamond chair (by Knoll) is much like a piece of modern sculpture. Its geometric pattern of repeating squares is echoed by the graphic stitching on the cotton bedspread. Modern teak furniture always fosters a timeless warm quality. Different textural fabrics such as cashmere, velvet, furs, and ultrasuede offer interesting sensory contrasts throughout the room. Original B&W photography adds a unique dimension to the space.
These homeowners desired high quality and an enduring, clean look. There is nothing more timeless than the combination of black and white which was inspired by the beautiful art glass collection displayed on the teak wall unit. A small but bright touch of red proclaims love, passion, strength, and energy. The homeowners announce, Absolutely fabulous!

When design meets technology, the result is an outdoor space that doesn’t just serve a purpose, it elevates a lifestyle. The Azenco R-BLADE™ system shown here is more than a pergola. It is a seamless architectural feature that brings luxury, performance, and beauty into perfect alignment.
Crafted from high-grade aluminum with a smooth, powder-coated finish, the R-BLADE™ integrates fully motorized louvers that adjust for sun, shade, and rain protection. This space showcases the elegance of a fully enclosed ceiling system paired with open louvers over select zones blurring the line between outdoor freedom and indoor comfort.

With hurricane-grade durability and French-engineered precision, it’s built to endure and designed to impress.
