The festive, red and black game room is ready for fun and games. We chose swivel stools with chrome bases and foot rests so that people can turn and watch the action or chat together comfortably.

Intimate evenings of cards or games are more important now than ever. This game table doubles as a dining table when our clients are entertaining a crowd. The bar is conveniently nearby for refreshments.

We divided the lower level into a number of areas geared to specific purposes. Here we placed a game table with cup holders and handy indents for poker chips. The richly upholstered swivel chairs that are conducive to lingering. The statement underscores the luxurious, contemporary vibe.

Equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, this lower level kitchenette keeps everyone fueled and hydrated after rounds of shuffleboard, ping pong, billiards and board games. The counter-height custom table has a forged metal base and a poplar wood top. We surrounded it with low-profile, backless counter stools upholstered in durable, easy-to-clean faux leather with black nickel, nail head trim.

The second floor “hang out” is the area where our clients and their guests can watch the big game on TV, play billiards and other games. To accommodate as many people as possible, we added a console table and counter chairs behind the sofa. The elevated stools provide an unobstructed view of the TV and the chair backs are great support for cheering on the home team. A desire for a more modern and zen-like environment in a historical, turn of the century stone and stucco house was the drive and challenge for this sophisticated Siemasko + Verbridge Interiors project. Along with a fresh color palette, new furniture is woven with antiques, books, and artwork to enliven the space. Carefully selected finishes enhance the openness of the glass pool structure, without competing with the grand ocean views. Thoughtfully designed cabinetry and family friendly furnishings, including a kitchenette, billiard area, and home theater, were designed for both kids and adults.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

For this project we converted an old ranch house into a truly unique boat house overlooking the Lagoon. Our renovation consisted of adding a second story, complete with a roof deck and converting a three car garage into a game room, pool house and overall entertainment room. The concept was to modernize the existing home into a bright, inviting vacation home that the family would enjoy for generations to come. Both porches on the upper and lower level are spacious and have cable railing to enhance the stunning view of the Lagoon.
