Combine 9 Design, LLCThis modern credenza would make the perfect storage cabinet in nearly any environment. While its gold tapered spindle legs give it a mid century modern, timeless feel, the raised geometric pattern of the doors add a touch of modernism. In addition to making these in many different widths and heights, we can also build yours in nearly any configuration. Want a more “open”, “airy” look? We can make yours with an open middle section (meaning doors only on the outsides). Or, need drawers? We can do that as well!

For many years of trouble-free use, we use only top-of-the-line hardware (hinges, push to open mechanisms) from Blum and Salice. Only the highest quality furniture-grade veneers are used as well. Like any natural material, expect some slight variations in grain and coloration.
Using this to store electronic devices that need power? Let us know and we’re happy to add holes in the back for cables to exit for no additional charge.

Orange County Deck Co.It started with a phone call inquiring about doing a basic deck remodel. When Chris Kehoe arrived on site to learn more about the home layout, budget, and timeline for the homeowners, it became clear that there was far more to the story.
The family was looking for more than just a deck replacement. They were looking to rebuild an outdoor living space that fit lifestyle. There was so much more than what you can input into a contact form that they were considering when reaching out to Orange County Deck Co. They were picturing their dream outdoor living space, which included:
- an inviting pool area
- stunning hardscape to separate spaces
- a secure, maintenance-free second level deck to improve home flow
- space under the deck that could double as hosting space with cover
- beautiful landscaping to enjoy while they sipped their glass of wine at sunset
Here’s how our team took this homeowner’s outdoor living space dreams and turned them into a reality.
Everything HomeThe utility room was in between the LR and the kitchen, so we moved it in order to connect the two spaces. We put the utility room where the laundry room used to be and created a new laundry room off a new hallway that leads to the master bedroom. The space for this was created by borrowing space from the XL dining area. We carved out space for the formal living room to accommodate a larger kitchen. The rest of the space became modest-sized offices with French doors to allow light from the house's front into the kitchen. The living room now transitioned into the kitchen with a new bar and sitting area.
We also transformed the full bath and hallway, which became a half-bath and mudroom for this single couple. The master bathroom was redesigned to receive a private toilet room and tiled shower. The stairs were reoriented to highlight an open railing and small foyer with a pretty armchair. The client’s existing stylish furnishings were incorporated into the colorful, bold design. Each space had personality and unique charm. The aqua kitchen’s focal point is the Kohler cast-iron vintage-inspired sink. The enlarged windows in the living room and sink allow the homeowners to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Design Challenge: This 8 year-old boy and girl were outgrowing their existing setup and needed to update their rooms with a plan that would carry them forward into middle school and beyond. In addition to gaining storage and study areas, could these twins show off their big personalities? Absolutely, we said! MOTIV Interiors tackled the rooms of these youngsters living in Nashville's 12th South Neighborhood and created an environment where the dynamic duo can learn, create, and grow together for years to come.
Design Solution:
In her room, we wanted to create a fun-filled space that supports softball, sleepovers, science, and anything else a girl might want to get into. The star of the show is a beautiful hand-printed wallpaper by Brooklyn designer Aimee Wilder, whose FSC-certified papers contain no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds). That means that in addition to packing a powerful visual punch, they meet our standard for excellent indoor air quality. We also love this wallpaper because it is composed of so many different neutral colors - this room can organically evolve over time without necessarily replacing the paper (which was installed with a no-VOC adhesive).
We refreshed the remaining walls with a scrubbable no-VOC paint from Sherwin Williams (7008 Alabaster) and gave the carpets in both of the twins’ rooms a good cleaning and simple stretch as opposed to replacing them. In order to provide more functional light in her room, we incorporated a corner floor lamp for reading, a telescoping desk lamp for studying, and an eye-catching LED flower pendant on a dimmer switch sourced from Lightology. Custom window treatments in a linen/cotton blend emphasize the height of the room and bring in a little “bling” with antiqued gold hardware.
Before we even thought about aesthetics, however, MOTIV Interiors got to work right away on increasing functionality. We added a spacious storage unit with plenty of baskets for all of our young client’s animal friends, and we made sure to include ample shelf space for books and hobbies as she finds new passions to explore down the road. We always prefer eco-friendly furnishings that are manufactured responsibly, made with sustainably harvested wood (FSC Certified), and use no glue or non-toxic glues and paints.
The bedding in this project is 100% cotton and contains no synthetic fibers. When purchasing bedding, check for the GOTS Certification (Global Organic Textile Standard). The introduction of a desk and drawer unit created a calming space to study and reflect, or write a letter to a friend. Gold accents add a bit of warmth to the workspace, where she can display her memories, goals, and game plans for a bright future.
We hope you enjoyed this project as much as we did! Each design challenge is an opportunity to push the envelope, by creating a new and exciting aesthetic or finding creative ways to incorporate sustainable design principles.

H2O DesignsWe build our ponds to work with mother nature, not against her. MARGARITA BRAVOOur clients wanted a fun room that allowed them to relax, read, and practice yoga. Our Miami studio realized our clients’ vision by taking advantage of the big windows on the room and turning a wall into a design focal point with this beautiful color from Sherwin Williams called Merlot. The room is now called The Merlot, and in addition to relaxation and reading, they use it to enjoy a glass of wine and unwind. The oversized ottoman is the cherry on top as it’s the perfect piece to add style and can be used to relax as well.

Angela Todd Studios | Portland, ORAlthough our empty nester clients were still enjoying their custom home they had lived in for nearly 30 years, they had outgrown their once state-of-the-art 1980s master bathroom.
Our master bathroom facelift transformed a bathroom with carpet, wallpaper, glass block tiles, and a 30 year old Jacuzzi. It transformed into a clean lined, yet warm and inviting space that still worked with the home’s contemporary architecture. Our selections started with a natural stone for the vanity, and selecting Sapele wood cabinetry for both it’s textured lines and color qualities. Our next step was our hardware and fittings – knowing we wanted both function and visual appeal.
We relocated the double vanities at the center of the room, and installed the shower on the other side of the wall creating a circular passage for flow. The integrated sinks make a statement at the vanity – as well as the large apron of stone surrounding the face of the cabinetry. Wall mount faucets, and matte textured tile running vertically complete the look.
The free-standing vessel tub leaves a lasting impression against the windows. Corner cabinetry and shelves add both storage and visual appeal. Tucked in the corner an upholstered bench, yet more storage and built in jewelry organization.
Large format porcelain floor tiles were installed with a smooth skimstone application on the shower floor. Amenities and special touches in the bathroom include radiant heating, LED lighting under the cabinets and behind the vanity mirrors, a large format thermostat controlled towel bar, a linear drain in the shower, and a wall mounted energy efficient toilet.

Lumar InteriorsThis busy family of four wanted to better utilize their space and enjoy a beautiful new colourful aesthetic. The main floor tile, trimwork, and kitchen were completely remodeled. As well we moved walls and switched the placement of family room and dining room. Upstairs, the ensuite bathroom needed an update and again functionality as well as beauty was important for the homeowner. Carefully planned beautiful colour, functional cabinetry, and custom furnishings and drapery, is what you will find in this project.
