Mediterranean home in San Mateo with traditional layout and accents. In keeping with the character of the home, client chose to include detailed crown moldings in grape pattern, decorative posts and panels on the appliances. The wall between the kitchen and breakfast room was removed to create a large open space with island and still maintained private seating area. Retained existing parquet flooring original to the home that blends nicely with the Dura Surpreme, Cherry cabinets. Devised much needed storage space with pantry cabinets, roll-outs, spice pull-outs, built-in trash and recycling. In the end, a lovely, open space worthy of guests any day of the week. Raised beds hold organic garden soil mix that ranges from 8" - 2' deep. Here you see a late winter, very early spring view of this salad garden in metro Atlanta. Various types of lettuce, kale, parsley, and chives are accented by pansies which have edible flowers. After our frost date, most of this will be removed. Location: Spring Lake, NJ, US Our design goal for this renovation and addition was to present a modern interpretation of Colonial Plantation Style. This home features dark wood floors, wood paneling and a light soothing color scheme. The Dining Room features classic silk De Gournay Wallpaper which further fuses the indoor and outdoor seamlessness of the home. The amazing tile installations permeate the decor with color, texture and pattern. The shaker-style kitchen is refreshed by using black cabinetry, a custom stainless hood and La Cornue Range. We enjoyed adding vintage finds throughout - a farm table for the Kitchen, Bergere chairs in the Entry, and a Victorian Flower mirror in the Powder Room. threshold interiors ensures that your beach retreat is elegant, transitional and most importantly comfortable and relaxing! While this kitchen is of modest dimensions, it features wonderful luxe effects such as the hand hammered Pewter sink and Italian made island table base - Tastefully designed, defying a style label, ensuring its enduring relevance.

This project was a complete gut remodel of the owner's childhood home. They demolished it and rebuilt it as a brand-new two-story home to house both her retired parents in an attached ADU in-law unit, as well as her own family of six. Though there is a fire door separating the ADU from the main house, it is often left open to create a truly multi-generational home. For the design of the home, the owner's one request was to create something timeless, and we aimed to honor that.
