Inspiration for a transitional entryway remodel in Salt Lake City

Mudroom Cabinets were custom designed by Jessica McAllister of Kountry Kraft for a transitional style entryway in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. The cabinets are crafted in Penn Line style out of Red Oak wood and finished in Gray Wolf 25° stain color. Across the top and bottom of the cabinets are storage units for hats, gloves and shoes. Antique pewter hooks from Top Knobs provide the perfect place to hang coats and bags. This mudroom cabinet system also includes a bench for sitting while putting on your shoes. Mudroom cabinets help keep clutter the kitchen and living areas clean because they create a dedicated space for the items that are typically taken off and put on when entering or exiting the house.

This is the view when you first enter the home. By opening up the existing walls we created an open floor plan that allows the Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room to flow seamlessly while still maintaining their individual definition.

Mountain Peek is a custom residence located within the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. The layout of the home was heavily influenced by the site. Instead of building up vertically the floor plan reaches out horizontally with slight elevations between different spaces. This allowed for beautiful views from every space and also gave us the ability to play with roof heights for each individual space. Inspiration for a large timeless wooden curved staircase remodel in New York with painted risers

Mid-Century Remodel on Tabor Hill This sensitively sited house was designed by Robert Coolidge, a renowned architect and grandson of President Calvin Coolidge. The house features a symmetrical gable roof and beautiful floor to ceiling glass facing due south, smartly oriented for passive solar heating. Situated on a steep lot, the house is primarily a single story that steps down to a family room. This lower level opens to a New England exterior. Our goals for this project were to maintain the integrity of the original design while creating more modern spaces. Our design team worked to envision what Coolidge himself might have designed if he'd had access to modern materials and fixtures. With the aim of creating a signature space that ties together the living, dining, and kitchen areas, we designed a variation on the 1950's "floating kitchen." In this inviting assembly, the kitchen is located away from exterior walls, which allows views from the floor-to-ceiling glass to remain uninterrupted by cabinetry. We updated rooms throughout the house; installing modern features that pay homage to the fine, sleek lines of the original design. Finally, we opened the family room to a terrace featuring a fire pit. Since a hallmark of our design is the diminishment of the hard line between interior and exterior, we were especially pleased for the opportunity to update this classic work.

A perennial favorite....Double divided glass doors welcome guests into this one of a kind wine cellar. Columns of New England Fieldstone support a long barrel arched rustic Knotty Alder T&G ceiling. Rustic Alder wine racking is divided equally for individual bottles and diamond bins, creating a pleasing symmetrical design. A rustic reclaimed table serves as the center island and completes the ambience.

Our individualized approach to decorating includes evaluating a property, listening to the homeowner’s unique wants and needs for the season, and then creating a customized decorating plan that matches each homeowner’s personality and love for the holidays.

Upon entering the property, guests are welcomed embraced with xx columns and a bordered limestone driveway. This scene directs the eye to the main locus of the site through a circular grove of trees elevated on a Kentucky bluegrass lawn pad. Lighted columns and an ornate cast iron gate introduce the individual to the property. The scale of the columns helps to embellish the grandiose nature of the space about to be experienced. A limestone driveway and border provide a sharp contrast to the surrounding landscape.
