Bedroom - large contemporary master medium tone wood floor bedroom idea in Other with blue walls

The homeowner’s only request was to keep as much of the existing landscape as possible on this Sanibel remodel. As the driveway winds around, you are enticed by the pockets of tropical plantings located in and around the stately royal palms lining the drive. The color sparks your interest as you move down the drive to a rounded island with a simplistic approach to a tropical courtyard. The coral walkway and border leads you to the front door, but the angel trumpet and its significant blooms catches your eye.
Entering into the courtyard lined with colorful bromeliads and orchids, the sound of the custom water feature gives you a sense of serenity. Both the pottery and fountain add to the rustic ocean ambiance. An existing seahorse statue became the inspiration for a whimsical water feature, and is surrounded by alocasia, apostle iris and ground orchids. The sound of the water can be heard not only throughout the courtyard but also around the resort-styled outdoor living area. The deep cushioned teak furniture provides a tranquil atmosphere and utilizes the space under the home to create a comfortable outdoor living space.
Bougainvillea give you a spectacular burst of color as you enter the ocean side of the residence. Existing spindle and sabal palms anchor the beds containing firebush and coontie to attract butterflies. The use of grass, mulch and the shell pathway towards the beachside area adds an element of dimension. This expansive property was truly a diamond in the rough and now provides beauty and enjoyment for the homeowners.

Avid entertainers who often host dinner parties and family events, want to go beyond simply having a functional and entertaining kitchen. The clients wish to give it a striking presence that encourages guests to gather and converse with one another. In consideration of this, the designer chose a warm neutral colour palette with darker tones to create an inviting and engaging environment.
The stainless-steel hood and upper cabinetry on the expanse of one wall highlights the activity within
the area and calls people to come together and cook. This detail becomes a bold accent within the space as the stainless steel is carried down onto the first set of drawers and on the appliances. The use of this industrial finish entices visitors to enter the kitchen.

Lounge chairs with woven backs exude an island vibe while the Dynasty fretwork side table delivers a hint of the Far East. A hammered steel drum table in antique bronze and a hand-knotted rug inspired by global patterns add enticing textures and an authentic vibe. For neutral living room inspiration, we looked to an earthy palette of gold, black, cream, and brown.

The open floor plan lends itself to entertaining, and the views of the Front Range through the pines are enticing. These same spaces also feel private and individual. Ruby-throated hummingbirds migrate to the Ottawa area from Mexico. The hope is that in 2027, they will enjoy both the feeders the homeowner provides, and a palette of garden plants, illustrated in this portfolio, which will support their specialized feeding habits. There is a buffet of other plants which will entice other birds as well.

A large circular driveway and serene rock garden welcome visitors to this elegant estate. Classic columns, Shingle and stone distinguish the front exterior, which leads inside through a light-filled entryway. Rear exterior highlights include a natural-style pool, another rock garden and a beautiful, tree-filled lot.
Interior spaces are equally beautiful. The large formal living room boasts coved ceiling, abundant windows overlooking the woods beyond, leaded-glass doors and dramatic Old World crown moldings. Not far away, the casual and comfortable family room entices with coffered ceilings and an unusual wood fireplace. Looking for privacy and a place to curl up with a good book? The dramatic library has intricate paneling, handsome beams and a peaked barrel-vaulted ceiling. Other highlights include a spacious master suite, including a large French-style master bath with his-and-hers vanities. Hallways and spaces throughout feature the level of quality generally found in homes of the past, including arched windows, intricately carved moldings and painted walls reminiscent of Old World manors.

The pen behind the design of the Donatello collection never seems to leave the page. The dynamism of the sinuous elegant lines of the moulding and gilt decoration permeate all the pieces in the Donatello living room. A stylistic wealth entices the eye to gaze upon every detail of your furniture, which as the great Florentine sculptor taught, brings to life a work of art. The Donatello living room is rich, elegant and intense like a sculpture which never ceases to amaze.

When culinary photographer, chef, and media personality Megan and her husband Mark came to us for his- and hers- bathroom remodels, We knew the collaboration would yield incredible results! They had exciting inspirations for their baths and were willing to explore some out-of-box design concepts that made the dual project especially enticing. In the hallway bath, they were hoping to make better use of adjacent space and enlarge the room to create a spa getaway for Megan. Meanwhile, their en suite master bath was outdated and seriously lacking in both style and storage for Mark's taste. They came prepared to our initial consultation with several inspiration photos to work off of for both space planning and material selections. Megan’s inspirations were light, airy, and leaned into some beautiful physical and visual textures. Mark’s inspirations were dark, moody, and included woodworking details and wainscoting reminiscent of a cigar lounge or country club.

It's hard to keep a secret this good. This 4 light mini chandelier from the Rumer collection delivers a big vintage inspired impact. Vintage Edison bulbs complete the look while the minimal design offers just the right amount of intrigue to entice a second look… and maybe even a third. Over the counter is the 1 light mini pendant from the Devin collection which features a vintage industrial design with an open cage with tumbled Natural Brass and Olde Bronze.

Enticing forms and alluring architecture are the core concepts of the Elements collection. This creation by designer Gerd Couckhuyt is an ultra-modular outdoor seating island with endless arrangement options. Movable back positions, accessories such as a footrest and an occasional table sliding in a slot, make this island the epitome of serenity and relaxation. A slender strip of illuminating LED lights allows the Elements to hover. The combination of subdued colours and durable materials such as Quaryl® with a soft touch gives the arrangement a certain prestige, offering the ultimate in seating comfort. Elements was awarded a Red Dot Award in 2014.

It sparkles, it shimmers, it glitters, its glass. Glass mosaics are everywhere, from gorgeous kitchen backsplashes like this one, to color baths and reflective fireplaces. But as beautiful as this backsplash is, it’s only the beginning of this great kitchen.
Our kitchen begins with a little bump, a simple little peninsula with room for one. Upon the deep dark espresso cabinets sits the contrasting countertop. The super glossy white stone with subtle swirls reflects the colors of the glass mosaics. We gave the peninsula a little overhang and pulled up an enticing contemporary stool.
Although the kitchen space is fairly large, two walls contained openings to other spaces, while a third contained a large and sunny bay window. Rather than bottle neck our traffic flow, we chose to make the most of the walls we had. We started with a deep undermount stainless steel sink with a far-reaching faucet with pull out spray. Beside this, we placed our contemporary stainless steel dishwasher.
To keep the feeling open and airy we installed dark floating shelves, which really pop against our multicolored glass backsplash. We added lighting under the bottom shelf for extra sparkle, as well as the perfect task lighting.
We needed some wall cabinets, not just for storage but to compliment our microwave. Above the stainless steel stove our matching microwave serves multipurpose, from cooking, to venting, to task lighting the stove. When space counts, make the most of it. We nestled our stove beside the dishwasher, giving ourselves room for a landing zone at the end. The cooking area feels even more spacious set next to our large bay window.
To give us the greatest amount of storage, we added a floor to ceiling pantry. Although it is only 12″ deep, it’s 48″ wide. The clean “slab” style door create an uncluttered look that compliments the patterning of the floor. We used 6″ x 24″ porcelain wood look flooring. This flooring exploded on the market not too long ago, giving you the look of hardwoods, without fear of water, dents and scratches. The floor will never need to be refinished, no matter how much abuse it takes.
Look at all that storage. There’s even room on the bottom for that huge mixer we all seem to have. The pantry gives us plenty of room for all we need to store and it’s 12″ depth means it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. No more pulling out half your stored items just to find that product in the very back.
We round out this fabulous kitchen with a full-sized, bottom freezer, French door refrigerator. Espresso panels encase the sides while a deep and tall upper cabinet gives us room to store some more. By placing the refrigerator between the two entrances to the kitchen, family and friends can get a beverage without getting in the cook’s way.
To direct our lighting around the room and focus on specific areas, we used a long track of spot lights with a contemporary look. Between the window in the daytime, spots and undercabinet lights at night, the kitchen is always bright, even with the darker cabinetry.

This thoughtful husband wanted to give his wife an Asian-inspired shade garden with deep cedar soaking tub for her 50th birthday - what a guy! They also wanted to encourage their teenagers and friends to hang out at home - smart thinking! The hot tub and deck had to be designed around large existing conifers. The addition of the overhead structure provides visual interest as well as protecting the hot tub from sap and falling debris. This project illustrates skilled woodworking and a minimalist, textural plant palette. We created two separate patios - one for outdoor dining and one with a gas fire table, perfect for enticing teenagers and their friends! Lighting from FX Luminaire highlights the Japanese Maple and illuminates the stamped concrete pathways, creating a magical nighttime effect.
