Your flooring choice is one of the most important decisions you have to make when it comes to improving your home. The material is an essential part of your interior design. Our client's vision was something modern that didn't include wooden flooring. As such, so the 12 step process of stripping glued-down wooden floors and the underlying concrete began. The result - soft black polished modern floors! Definitely a wow factor!

Blending a modern sensibility with traditional architecture, this garden features a front yard meadow with native grasses (Carex praecracilis) and wildflowers. Poured-in-place concrete pavers in a meandering pattern slow the approach from the sidewalk to the entry. The modestly-sized backyard has been maximized for entertaining with outdoor dining and lounging areas and subtle landscape lighting. Native plants, herbs, and edibles share the back garden beds, and a raised pond brings the garden to life. Photo by Martin Cox Photography.

What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. This view showcases the beautiful curve of the retaining wall at the back of the grassy terrace, which together with the sturdy boulder wall at its front, defines the lawn with natural, flowing lines. The boulder walls provide essential structural support for the hillside while adding rustic beauty and texture. A carefully chosen mix of shrubs and flowering perennials brings seasonal color and softness, balancing the strong stone elements. Structure and beauty, working together.

In a corner of the basement we created a play area. The nook has a shiplap wall, and tons of storage, from the reclaimed old heart pine shelves to the drawers beneath the seat. Welcome to this sports lover’s paradise in West Chester, PA! We started with the completely blank palette of an unfinished basement and created space for everyone in the family by adding a main television watching space, a play area, a bar area, a full bathroom and an exercise room. The floor is COREtek engineered hardwood, which is waterproof and durable, and great for basements and floors that might take a beating. Combining wood, steel, tin and brick, this modern farmhouse looking basement is chic and ready to host family and friends to watch sporting events!
