This door was a swinging door into a massive butlers pantry.
We removed the door and then enlarged the doorway and mimicked
The existing arch in foyer. This home is a
Plantation style and open concept was not
an option. However, we can still achieve wider
sight line to open up and bring in light.
The butler pantry will have the wall removed
eventually, to make way for a massive
professional, yet vintage kitchen!!

A Texas Farmhouse Honors Both Past & Present
A rustic, yet refined Texas farmhouse by Architect Michael Imber is on the cover of the May/June Issue of Luxe Houston & adorned throughout the exterior with handcrafted copper lanterns from Bevolo. Airy, light-filled, & set amid ancient pecan and sycamore tree groves, the architect's use of materials allows the structure to seamlessly harmonize with its surroundings, while Interior Designer Fern Santini's clever use of texture & patina, bring warmth to every room within. The result is a home built with a true understanding and love for the past. http://ow.ly/CgA530kBzUs

When a builder takes pride in his work, the little things he does may go unnoticed, but they eventually serve to remind you of his commitment to quality. Here you not only see a design in the shingles but the vented soffit in the roofing system improves attic ventilation and minimises moisture.
