The contemporary design maintains a sleek appearance with ample kitchen cabinets accessorized with specialized storage inserts, island cabinetry, and custom shelves to keep electronics tidy. The room includes a built in television and undercounter microwave, as well as plenty of workspace. We used a double-height, oak-paneled ceiling in the living room to create an expansive feeling. We also placed layers of Moroccan rugs, cozy textures of alpaca, mohair, and shearling by exceptional makers from around the US. In the kitchen and bar area, we went with the classic black and white combination to create a sophisticated ambience. We furnished the dining room with attractive blue chairs and artworks, and in the bedrooms, we maintained the bright, airy vibes by adding cozy beddings and accessories.

Inspiration for a large timeless backyard stone and custom-shaped natural hot tub remodel in Austin

Xtreme Renovations just completed a Kitchen Renovation Project for our clients in the Garden Oaks Area. This project included re facing the existing stained raised panel Kitchen Cabinetry to Shaker Style painted Cabinetry. In addition, a large Custom built Pantry cabinet was added for additional space and functionality. New Door and Drawer faces were Custom Built with European soft closing hinges as well as full extension drawer glides that are also soft closing. This project included removing the exiting floor tile in the Kitchen as well as hardwood flooring in the Breakfast Area from a previous renovation project. The flooring was in three separate tier levels, so a concrete base was poured to provide a level surface throughout the Kitchen and Breakfast Area. New Ceramic Tile was laid on a broken joint pattern that extended into the Family Room. The existing backsplash was removed and upgraded to new Glass Tile laid in a subway pattern for an added touch of class. This project included electrical upgrades INCLUDING led Under Cabinet Lighting that added the ‘Wow Factor’ our clients desired and Xtreme Renovations is known for. Drywall repair and texturing as well as Painting the Kitchen and Breakfast area completed this transformation into a bright and soothing new Kitchen that our clients will enjoy for years to come.

Conceived by architect Rafael Viñoly—432 Park Avenue is the tallest residential skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere. This apartment designed by John Beckmann and his design firm Axis Mundi has some of the most breathtaking views in Manhattan. Known for their glamorous low-slung aesthetic, Axis Mundi took the challenge to design the residence for an American client living in China with a family of four, and an important art collection (including the likes of Cy Twombly, Gerhard Richter, Susan Frecon, Vik Muniz and Lisette Schumacher, among others). In the dining room, a Bocci “28 Chandelier” hangs above an intricate marble and brass table by Henge, with ceramics by John Born. Entering the main living area, a monumental “Let it Be” sectional from Poltrona Frau sits on a silver custom-designed Joseph Carini wool and silk rug. A ‘Surface” coffee table designed by Vincent Van Duysen and “Fulgens” armchairs in saddle leather by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia create the penultimate space for entertaining. The sensuous red library features custom-designed bookshelves in burnished brass and walnut, as a “Wing Sofa” in red velvet from Flexform floats atop a “Ponti” area rug from the Rug Company. “JJ Chairs” in Mongolian lamb fur from B&B Italia add a rock and roll swagger to the space. The kitchen accentuates the grey marble flooring and all-white color palette, with the exception of a few light wood and marble details. A dramatic pendant in hand-burnished brass, designed by Henge, hovers above the kitchen island, while a floating marble counter spans the window opening. It is a serene spot to enjoy a morning cappuccino while pondering the ever-changing skyline of the Metropolis. In a counterintuitive move, Beckmann decided to make the gallery dark by finishing the walls in a smoked lacquered plaster with hints of mica, which add sparkle and glitter. John Beckmann made sure to include extravagant fabrics from Christopher Hyland and a deft mix of textures and colors to the design. In the master bedroom is a wall-length headboard system in leather and velvet panels from Poliform, with luxurious bedding from Frette. Dupre Lafon lounge chairs in a buttery leather rest on a custom golden silk carpet by Joseph Carini, while a pair of parchment bedside lamps by Jean Michel Frank complete the design. The facade is treated with an LED lighting system which changes colors and can be controlled by the client with their iPhone from the street. Inspiration for a bathroom remodel in Milwaukee

Tradition Trail is lined with towering mature palms; you’re taken by that indefinable sense of place. You’ll find that same feeling in the curve of a proudly manicured green, in the warmth of a gracious welcome, in the sense of all that endures. Perhaps as no other private community in the desert, Tradition Golf Club remains true to the ideals of ultra-exclusivity and understated elegance. There is a blend of Spanish Revival, Early California and Mediterranean architecture. My Client's second home forfeits none of the grace and charm of the exterior as it leans towards a modern palm desert aesthetic and comfortable interior. Clean lines, expansive glass and a bright color palette create a stunning visual transition from room to room. Bright colored fabrics reflecting the sky and landscape are used throughout the home. Bold design features like large scaled wallpaper are seen in the both the Dining Room & Master bedroom. The powder bath is completely covered in a beaded wallpaper making it a truly exceptional experience. There is a play with light and the patterns it creates through the custom decorative light fixtures. The artwork was curated by LJLdesigns from San Francisco, Los Angeles and local artists in Pam Springs. A hanging sculpture in the entry niche and a rayon thread 3D art greet you as you enter their home.

At Archadeck of Nova Scotia we love any size project big or small. But, that being said, we have a soft spot for the projects that let us show off our talents! This Halifax house was no exception. The owners wanted a space to suit their outdoor lifestyle with materials to last far into the future. The choices were quite simple: stone veneer, Timbertech composite decking and glass railing. What better way to create that stability than with a solid foundation, concrete columns and decorative stone veneer? The posts were all wrapped with stone and match the retaining wall which was installed to help with soil retention and give the backyard more definition (it’s not too hard on the eyes either). A set of well-lit steps will guide you up the multi-level deck. The built-in planters soften the hardness of the Timbertech composite deck and provide a little visual relief. The two-tone aesthetic of the deck and railing are a stunning feature which plays up contrasting tones. From there it’s a game of musical chairs; we recommend the big round one on a September evening with a glass of wine and cozy blanket. We haven’t gotten there quite yet, but this property has an amazing view (you will see soon enough!). As to not spoil the view, we installed TImbertech composite railing with glass panels. This allows you to take in the surrounding sights while relaxing and not have those pesky balusters in the way. In any Canadian backyard, there is always the dilemma of dealing with mosquitoes and black flies! Our solution to this itchy problem is to incorporate a screen room as part of your design. This screen room in particular has space for dining and lounging around a fireplace, perfect for the colder evenings! Ahhh…there’s the view! From the top level of the deck you can really get an appreciation for Nova Scotia. Life looks pretty good from the top of a multi-level deck. Once again, we installed a composite and glass railing on the new composite deck to capture the scenery. What puts the cherry on top of this project is the balcony! One of the greatest benefits of composite decking and railing is that it can be curved to create beautiful soft edges. Imagine sipping your morning coffee and watching the sunrise over the water.
