This New England home has the essence of a traditional home, yet offers a modern appeal. The home renovation and addition involved moving the kitchen to the addition, leaving the resulting space to become a formal dining and living area.
The extension over the garage created an expansive open space on the first floor. The large, cleverly designed space seamlessly integrates the kitchen, a family room, and an eating area.
A substantial center island made of soapstone slabs has ample space to accommodate prepping for dinner on one side, and the kids doing their homework on the other. The pull-out drawers at the end contain extra refrigerator and freezer space. Additionally, the glass backsplash tile offers a refreshing luminescence to the area. A custom designed informal dining table fills the space adjacent to the center island.
Paint colors in keeping with the overall color scheme were given to the children. Their resulting artwork sits above the family computers. Chalkboard paint covers the wall opposite the kitchen area creating a drawing wall for the kids. Around the corner from this, a reclaimed door from the grandmother's home hangs in the opening to the pantry. Details such as these provide a sense of family and history to the central hub of the home.

The Living Room has exposed brick and crown molding to take advantage of the architecture. We built a faux fireplace, radiator covering cabinet on the right sideand a storage cabinet on the left side, and a mantel with an extra thick 2 1/4" southern yellow pine top and slate surround. The bookshelves are also made of southern yellow pine supported by cast iron pipes. The cabinet door panels are made of metal sheet to allow the radiator ventilation and to allow remote controls to signal the electronics within. The cabinetry has a crackled paint finish to simulate age and time, adding a cozy, lived in effect.

Great for use in an entryway, hallway, or anywhere that a little extra storage is needed, the CIAO collection includes a mirror and storage console. The console can be mounted with or without its legs and includes wire management routing for rechargeable items, a storage drawer and an adjustable shelf. Place the console directly over a power outlet for direct access for charging electronics.

This dedicated home theater demonstrates how you don’t have to have some massive space or room addition to create the perfect home cinema experience.
This 18’ x 13’ space comfortably seats 9. The speakers are all hidden in the walls and behind the screen behind various acoustic panels.
The walls are treated with decoratively designed and fabric-wrapped sound absorbing panels that improve acoustics while adding great flare to the space.
StereoTypes custom built this into an existing room in this home and to avoid having to cut holes and do major drywall repair, we create a soffit system that surrounds the room, providing space for wires to be run and recessed lighting to be installed.
As an added feature; there is also a star-field ceiling for that extra-special added pop.

Inspiration for a large rustic u-shaped brick floor and orange floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Denver with an undermount sink, green cabinets, multicolored backsplash, an island, multicolored countertops, paneled appliances, raised-panel cabinets, granite countertops and stone slab backsplash

An electrical outlet was incorporated into a top drawer in the island. A charging drawer provides a great central spot for the family to charge their phones, tablets, and extra batteries.

Electronics are hidden in the lower built in cabinet. Uppers built-ins hold family games, blankets, and extra serve ware, easily accessible from the kitchen and dining room. A new, sleek fireplace replaces a large, 1980's brick hearth. The TV floats above, demurely standing just 2" away from the wall.
