This modern freestanding pool house is a little over 500 square feet. We created this space to allow for entertaining outdoors and relaxing by the pool, as well as giving this homeowner a great backyard view. There is plenty of room for the kitchen and hang out area.
We poured a concrete base that we then covered with light walnut travertine. We also added travertine pavers to transition from the pool to the new space.
The structure includes smooth stucco finish on the walls, stone based columns and an outdoor shower. The space couldn’t be complete without the 2 TVs with built-in overhead speakers.
The kitchen area includes an 18 foot counter area with leathered colonial cream granite and stone that matches the columns.
There is a FireMagic Diamond 660i 30 inch grill, fridge, side burner and a sink with hot water. There is plenty of storage and a great pull-out trash drawer. The raised bar top area gives plenty of seating for that snack after swimming.
The bathroom is a clean and bright area with a walk-in shower that has frameless glass doors. The vanity is custom built with the same granite as the kitchen area. The floor and wall tile is from Floor and Décor. The door is a Pella door. And, for those extremely hot summer days, it is a great place to go because it is air conditioned!
To complete the space, the customer chose Haiku fans from Big Ass Fans – clean lines, 7 speeds, and so very super quiet you can’t even really hear them running. The homeowner hung some shades to pull down at that certain time of day when you need a little extra shade!

Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake created a beautiful retreat by screening in a covered patio in Southlake, TX. All the details for this project came together perfectly to produce a screened porch the homeowners will enjoy for many years. With an extra dollop of creativity, we even whipped up a one-of-a-kind planter recessed into the new patio for an herb garden you will want for yourself.

This Houston kitchen remodel turned an outdated bachelor pad into a contemporary dream fit for newlyweds.
The client wanted a contemporary, somewhat commercial look, but also something homey with a comfy, family feel. And they couldn't go too contemporary, since the style of the home is so traditional.
The clean, contemporary, white-black-and-grey color scheme is just the beginning of this transformation from the previous kitchen,
The revamped 20-by-15-foot kitchen and adjoining dining area also features new stainless steel appliances by Maytag, lighting and furnishings by Restoration Hardware and countertops in white Carrara marble and Absolute Black honed granite.
The paneled oak cabinets are now painted a crisp, bright white and finished off with polished nickel pulls. The center island is now a cool grey a few shades darker than the warm grey on the walls. On top of the grey on the new sheetrock, previously covered in a camel-colored textured paint, is Sherwin Williams' Faux Impressions sparkly "Striae Quartz Stone."
Ho-hum 12-inch ceramic floor tiles with a western motif border have been replaced with grey tile "planks" resembling distressed wood. An oak-paneled flush-mount light fixture has given way to recessed lights and barn pendant lamps in oil rubbed bronze from Restoration Hardware. And the section housing clunky upper and lower banks of cabinets between the kitchen an dining area now has a sleek counter-turned-table with custom-milled legs.
At first, the client wanted to open up that section altogether, but then realized they needed more counter space. The table - a continuation of the granite countertop - was the perfect solution. Plus, it offered space for extra seating.
The black, high-back and low-back bar stools are also from Restoration Hardware - as is the new round chandelier and the dining table over which it hangs.
Outdoor Homescapes of Houston also took out a wall between the kitchen and living room and remodeled the adjoining living room as well. A decorative cedar beam stained Minwax Jacobean now spans the ceiling where the wall once stood.
The oak paneling and stairway railings in the living room, meanwhile, also got a coat of white paint and new window treatments and light fixtures from Restoration Hardware. Staining the top handrailing with the same Jacobean dark stain, however, boosted the new contemporary look even more.
The outdoor living space also got a revamp, with a new patio ceiling also stained Jacobean and new outdoor furniture and outdoor area rug from Restoration Hardware. The furniture is from the Klismos collection, in weathered zinc, with Sunbrella fabric in the color "Smoke."

The custom built wood burning fireplace is the focal point of the project. It is centered along the side wall and creates a nice privacy wall. The extra seating under the windows is perfect for when the family is entertaining.

This outdoor summer kitchen is made of antique cypress exterior. The door and hood panels are hand-made with 2" planks surrounded by a 3/4" raised applied mold with an inlaid poplar bark frame. The interior material is an exterior grade plywood, and the hood has extra interior structure to mount to the owners ceiling.

The new outdoor kitchen features a grill, sink, icebox, refrigerator, an extra side burner, and a fire feature to add some flare.

This fantastic one story craftsman style home incorporates a spacious front porch accented with terra-cotta brick column bases and white tapered columns. The house paint color is called Palisades (SW7635) and the trim is Extra White (SW7006).

This beautiful, extra-large, 20’ x 20’ 3-Season Room features a separate deck area to one side and a stepped-down deck area to the other. Outdoor living space will not only add value to your home, but is also sure to improve the quality of your life!

This amazing beach house was in desperate need of a refresh. Our clients had a vision of how they wanted their home to look, but didn't quite know how to get there. A complete renovation was the solution.
Our team went to work creating a classic design, including a new modern kitchen. We used a light gray shaker cabinet on the perimeter with a dark stained shaker on the island. Contrasting quartz counter tops with a drop miter edge add interest and texture. Blown glass pendant lights illuminate the island, while LED under cabinet lighting is used to create ambiance throughout the kitchen.
Custom upholstery including sofas, chairs and ottomans in warm grays, browns whites and blues create generous seating areas in the common living spaces.. A built in bench seat piled with cozy pillows lets you take in the beautiful sunsets and water views.
We love the use of reclaimed barnwood on this project. We used planks with worn crackled paint on the partition wall in the master bed room, vintage stained wood for the laundry room barndoor and thick timbers for the fireplace mantle and floating wall shelves.
Lots of salvaged coastal treasures and sea glass are used to accessorize the home and give it that little extra touch.
Our clients just loved the final result, and its certainly one of our favorites as well!

Gorgeous outdoor living room complete ceiling to floor. Stamped concrete flooring and a white washed tongue and groove ceiling with a rustic cedar box beam finish. Retractable screens were imbedded into the arches for extra shade. And for the cooler months, there is an electric heater recessed into the accent wall.

The Condit project is composed of three different concrete expanses across the beautiful property: a concrete pool deck and patio, a driveway front-entry, and dark-walnut acid-stained interior floors.
The exterior pool deck and driveway are flanked by exquisite stonework, done using Idaho quartzite. They also have precast concrete, as well as concrete that Tom Ralston poured with integral color. Banding was done in hard trowel texture and the panels were done with sand washed texture, exposing just a light amount of sand for a beautiful creamy finish.
The interior floors are acid stained with dark walnut, giving a rich, comfortable tone to the house. They were scored with an independent geometric grid pattern that had a unique design, giving an extra element of depth to the concrete. The stairs in the interiors are designed with arched, cantilevered, concrete steps with a particular square bull nose profile. The front stairs in the entry were designed with their own unique bull nose as well.
This project was as fun as it was large. It's always a good time to work on multiple decorative concrete projects across a property, creating aesthetic harmony throughout the home.

Thank you for the positive review. Great project and well done! Simple privacy screen on second floor deck , and excellent for the BBQ smoke. Another happy FLEX•ffence customer- Scott from the state of Washington.

The patios are open from the living room, guest bedroom and master bedroom and overlook a gorgeous pool below. Contemporary metal furniture continues the contemporary style from inside and complements the architecture of the building. Two loveseats with granite top tables are the perfect place for lounging in the afternoon. Pillows and an outdoor rug bring interesting textures to the patio. Behind the loveseats is a pub table for dining and entertaining. Off of the Guest Bedroom and Master Bedroom are more private seating areas for a quite morning cup of coffee or a reading in the afternoons. Plants were added to the space for extra privacy and color. Photography by Erika Bierman
