This contemporary dining room area has a mixture of texture and design styles. Ample natural lighting. Large Dining table perfect for hosting guests. The doors to the backyard are accordion doors. The flooring is Oak traditional by Boen in Chaletino. The fireplace is parallel v cladding in tropical white. 6" x 22". The Bench below the fireplace is Dekton in Zirius with 3 1/4" Mitered. The drawers below the bench are all wood cabinets by Elmwood in Natural Quarter Cut Teak. The hardware on the cabinets is Atlas Hardware.

The plank tile floors are set over an infloor heating system. The tiles were laid in a herringbone pattern and dark grout was used to bring in a feeling of history to this space. Then by playing with the dividers in the built in bookcases and keeping very clean lines on the windows they style of the basement feels like a modern update on a classic style. Located in the distinctive lake front community of Draper Lake near Blue Mountain on 30A, northwest Florida. The community style is rustic lake house. The house design takes advantage of the unusual shape by using a screened porch connection between the main house and the carriage house. There is an abundance of windows on the lake side to take advantage of views to the lake and gulf beyond.

Additional pullout storage was custom designed under the stairs allowing for pantry, brooms and other utility items. When closed, the doors create a finished panelled effect, keeping the stair sophisticated and the storage hidden. Photos: Dave Remple
