Nimanoe is a tribute to the good life. A tale about travel, taste, passion and purpose. You can see it in the beautiful, expansive ensuite bedrooms, and the cozy, pacifying lounges and library. You can feel it in the refined furnishings, the statement pieces of art and considered spa-like spaces that beckon you in for a soothing reboot. You can hear it in the Sonos surround sound system that reaches every room, every corner of the garden, into the mountain air and beyond. You can taste it in the state-of-the-art kitchen and languid dining spaces – both indoor and outdoor. Nimanoe’s sophistication on the senses gives you license to bring your own version of the good life to fruition, surrounded by all of your favourite people.
What we love!
The outdoor shower adjacent the spa and sauna space, where the delicious monsters and ferns perfect the tropical paradise ambience.
Nimanoe is an ideal home to work from too. With those inspirational views and tranquil sounds of the abounding nature you’ll find yourself inspired to produce that long-awaited masterpiece in the secluded office.
The views of the ocean, Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point Vineyards and surrounding mountain ranges are nothing short of spectacular and ever-changing throughout the day.
What you need to know…
Nimanoe offers daily housekeeping, as well as the food of fabulous chef, Natalie, who’ll whip up some delicious Ottolenghi dishes, and extraordinary desserts.
Silvermine’s hiking trails are on the doorstep. Just a gentle climb up into the mountain for some incredible views and lovely sunset spots.
For a pint or two of a delicious craft beer, Aegir Brewery is no more than a 5-minute drive away, where the fabulous Italian eatery, Limoncello also sits, beneath the milkwoods.
The property is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and is totally secure, with a high-tech, top of the range alarm and security system – for that extra peace of mind. It also runs off a solar-system so does not feel the impact of power outages.
Nimanoe is only a 5-minute drive to Noordehoek for long walks and swims. You also have the use of the property’s SUP and surf boards.
Noordhoek Village is only a 5-minute drive away from the property where Chef Franck Dangereux’s Foodbarn Restaurant is, together with coffee roasters, decadent ice-cream makers, a pub and a playground, a delicatessen, souvenir shops and a yoga studio too.

INTERNATIONAL AWARD WINNER. 2018 NKBA Design Competition Best Overall Kitchen. 2018 TIDA International USA Kitchen of the Year. 2018 Best Traditional Kitchen - Westchester Home Magazine design awards.
The designer's own kitchen was gutted and renovated in 2017, with a focus on classic materials and thoughtful storage. The 1920s craftsman home has been in the family since 1940, and every effort was made to keep finishes and details true to the original construction. Beautiful French inspired home in the heart of Lincoln Park Chicago.
Rising amidst the grand homes of North Howe Street, this stately house has more than 6,600 SF. In total, the home has seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms and three powder rooms. Designed with an extra-wide floor plan (21'-2"), achieved through side-yard relief, and an attached garage achieved through rear-yard relief, it is a truly unique home in a truly stunning environment.
The centerpiece of the home is its dramatic, 11-foot-diameter circular stair that ascends four floors from the lower level to the roof decks where panoramic windows (and views) infuse the staircase and lower levels with natural light. Public areas include classically-proportioned living and dining rooms, designed in an open-plan concept with architectural distinction enabling them to function individually. A gourmet, eat-in kitchen opens to the home's great room and rear gardens and is connected via its own staircase to the lower level family room, mud room and attached 2-1/2 car, heated garage.
The second floor is a dedicated master floor, accessed by the main stair or the home's elevator. Features include a groin-vaulted ceiling; attached sun-room; private balcony; lavishly appointed master bath; tremendous closet space, including a 120 SF walk-in closet, and; an en-suite office. Four family bedrooms and three bathrooms are located on the third floor.
This home was sold early in its construction process.

This modern/transitional kitchen was designed to meld comfortably with a 1910 home. This photo highlights the lovely custom-designed and built cabinets by Draper DBS that feature a gray pearl finish that brings an understated elegance to the semblance of a "white kitchen". White calcutta marble tops and backsplashes add to the clean feel and flow of the space. Also featured is a custom designed and manufactured stainless steel range hood by Rangecraft. Contact us at Ulrich for more of the secrets that we hid in this lovely kitchen - there is much much more than meets the eye!

This family room is open to the kitchen and breakfast nook. The Global Views peacock pattern area rug introduces the vibrant green and turquoise tones used throughout the space. Geometric blue and white lounge chairs play on the pattern of the area rug and the bookshelf wallpaper. Wallpapering the backs of your bookshelves adds an extra layer of style. The drapery fabric is the same as the kitchen roman shades to create cohesion between the spaces.

Major gut renovation of this coastal estate preserved its basic layout while expanding the kitchen. A veranda and a pair of gazebos were also added to the home to maximize outdoor living and the water views. The interior merged the homeowners eclectic style with the traditional style of the home.

Kitchen/dining room combo - large coastal porcelain tile kitchen/dining room combo idea in Orange County with white walls and no fireplace

In July 2017, Belz was contacted by the property owner to create a home that met their specific requirements. This included the following items:
An open concept/loft design that takes advantage of the views to the south and west. Separate areas within this open plan are defined by furnishings.
Master Suite on the main level. Bathroom with views. Large shower with rain head and wall shower system. Large walk-in closet with built-ins.
Study/office area with an abundance of built-in bookshelves. Study to be “separate” but somehow connected to main living area.
2 additional bedrooms, each with their own bath.
Extra wide garage that can fit 2 cars side x side with the doors open and extra deep with room for a workbench.
Mud room/laundry room that could include a shower.
Radiant in-floor heat system and air conditioning.
Outdoor living space/courtyard with firepit, water feature, pizza oven, and sunken jetted tub.
Environmentally responsible design alternatives, such as material choices and building orientation, together with other considerations based on requirements and aesthetics were used to develop a design that was consistent with the owner’s vision.
Belz and the owner worked together to choose all materials and finishes and colors. The green stucco picked up on the native grasses on the property. The stone was chosen to contrast with the green stucco and “plant” the house to the ground.
The owner wanted to take advantage of the views as much as possible. Instead of siting the house along north/south/east/west axes, Belz canted the floorplan to a southwest axis for better “head-on” views from the home.
The owner requested an interesting roof/ceiling. Thus, Belz chose an arched ceiling which she found more embracing than an angled vaulted or shed roof.
