A screen porch was added to the side of the interior sitting room, enabling the two spaces to become one. A unique three-panel bi-fold door, separates the indoor-outdoor space; on nice days, plenty of natural ventilation flows through the house. Opening the sunroom, living room and kitchen spaces enables a free dialog between rooms. The kitchen level sits above the sunroom and living room giving it a perch as the heart of the home. Dressed in maple and white, the cabinet color palette is in sync with the subtle value and warmth of nature. The cooktop wall was designed as a piece of furniture; the maple cabinets frame the inserted white cabinet wall. The subtle mosaic backsplash with a hint of green, represents a delicate leaf.

Besides the beauty of the turquoise backsplash and clean lines this small space is extremely functional! Warm wood boxes were custom made to house all of the cooking essentials in arms reach. The cabinets flow completely to the ceiling to allow for every inch of storage space to be used. Grey cabinets are even above the kitchen window.

We selected a more mature, sophisticated, spa like vibe that fit her likes and needs, while maintaining a modern, subdued palette that was calming + inviting and showcased the sculptural elements in the room. Lanson B. Jones & Co, Inc.Total makeover of this contemporary Houston Heights townhome backyard. A brick border with notched corners encapsulates a crowned synthetic lawn creating an extremely low maintenance, puppy-friendly space. We lined the lawn frame with Blackstar Gravel (instead of mulch) to add elegance and make this space even more low maintenance. A row of evenly spaced Eagleston Hollies line the back fence and will grow to add additional privacy from neighboring homes. Confederate Jasmine is trellised on a diamond cable pattern and will bloom white in spring. The fence is painted with our proprietary "River Oaks Green"... a secret recipe of Lanson B.
