Why transFORM one closet when you can transFORM them all?
Earlier this year a Scarsdale couple decided to completely renovate their stone tudor, located in the Heart of Fox Meadow.
Naturally, the repeat customers called upon transFORM’s Senior Designer, Ileen Greenberg, to revamp a variety of closets throughout the home, including the front foyer closet, hallway utility closet, basement storage closet, second bedroom closet and of course, the master walk-in closet.
The Master Walk-In Closet was custom crafted, meticulously manufactured and intricately installed to fit the allotted space.
Doubled as a dressing room, this area includes a ton of storage options like tilt-out hampers, front-to-back valet rods, velvet lined jewelry drawers, open and closed adjustable shelving, drawers and more.
Wide slanted and flat shoe shelves were installed, allowing the homeowner to identify and grab their favorite footwear quickly and easily.
As you can see, decorative cabinet doors, a large custom mirror, base trim molding and crown molding create a sophisticated and classic space you won't want to leave.
Ileen also emphasized the importance of good lighting to enhance these newly designed features. Specifically, the closet was equipped with a combination of LED lighting like under-mounted shelf lights and sensor activated drawer lights to make the contents of the dressing room fully visible.
Melamine was the material of choice - it's always an attractive option for closets due to its durability. It’s extremely difficult to scratch, and very easy to clean.
Overall, a truly exceptional job by Ileen and the transFORM team!

“My husband and I would like to share our experience with Zeev Zanzuri from JNA Solar Solutions. Zeev was referred to us by a friend who recommended him highly. At this point, we had already signed a contract with another solar company and were feeling very frustrated and disappointed.
Zeev was very patient and understanding as we had many questions and concerns. We live in the city of San Marino, in the San Gabriel Valley, a city well known for being extremely difficult for contractors to get permits approved. The previous solar company misrepresented their prior experience with the city of San Marino and were unable to get our permits approved. This resulted in unnecessary delays and aggravation.
Whatever Zeev promised, he delivered. He got the approvals from the city, explained our energy savings in detail and provided consistently great customer service. He was always responsive to our calls and followed up with us after the job was done to see if we had any problems.
We are thrilled with our solar system and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Zeev Zanzuri and JNA Solar Solutions to friends, family, and neighbors.”

A side opening oven door, especially on the upper oven, makes putting in and taking out food much easier than a traditional bottom hinged oven door.
Due to the position of the dining room door entry, which would have been extremely difficult to move, I placed a narrow broom closet right of the oven. It is 21" deep rather than the standard 24" deep in order to clear the door molding.

This dog run was installed in Smithtown Long Island NY by Gappsi. A dog run is useful for giving your dog a safe and happy environment to play in while also maintaining a clean back yard. This dog run is built with a black chain link fence to keep the dog within the specific area. A synthetic turf is then laid across the selected area within the fence. The turf allows easy clean up and prevents a muddy environment. Using a prepared rca base and using a high quality durable turf with a double-coated backing makes it extremely difficult for any tear. The turf allows easy drainage for liquid waste and allows easy clean up for solid waste. To clean up any dog run a simple hose down is all that is needed.

The corten house demonstrates how jurisdictionally imposed restraints can create hardships which (no matter how intimidating) cannot, however, deny a property owner their legally established right-to-build and, subsequently, the corten house demonstrates how those hardships, through proper planning and perseverance, can be overcome. For the McLendon Av. house, the true challenge became how to build responsibly, economically and sustainably on an extremely difficult site.
The streets of the neighborhood were originally surveyed as a few separate developments and were incorporated into the City of Atlanta one by one in the 1910’s. Although some developers built groups of houses, much of Lake Claire was sold as empty lots, with individuals constructing their own homes. The neighborhood of approximately 1,200 homes is, thus, an eclectic mix from Victorian to Tudor revival to more modern periods (Craftsman bungalows, 1950s salt box cottages, mid-century ranch styles, contemporary folk styles).
Given the neighborhood’s unique character, the McLendon house was introduced to the site while maintaining and then restoring as much of the native ecological habitat as possible. For example, the site’s tree frogs and stream’s bullfrogs happily remain.

We are absolutely in love with this traditional style, custom bench. The combination of the more contemporary finished white oak with the classic lines and upholstery, really make this piece unique.
Building this was incredibly rewarding. The bead profiles, the flutes on the legs, the intersecting corner blocks and the joinery that brought it all together made this piece extremely difficult. The in-progress photos below hopefully give you a good sense of the detail involved in building this piece of furniture. But as with most challenges, completing them brings a unique satisfaction.
Despite the fact that this bench looks delicate, it is actually very strong. This is largely due to the floating mortise and tenon joinery and 1 3/4" hardwood frame that is underneath the upholstery. Our hope is that we have blended strength, beauty and functionality to create something that will last and our customer is thrilled to see each time they walk in their space.

Before. The loft ladder was extremely difficult to use, not very safe and forget about taking anything up or down with you when using.
