Framed out mirror material gives the illusion of a built-in medicine cabinet. White cabinets and tile keep a bathroom feeling fresh and clean. 3" x 6" subway tile wraps the room from floor to ceiling creating the entire bathroom as a wet room.

This lovely couple was initially thinking of just refacing their cabinets and replacing their countertops and backsplash. After assessing all that was going on with those cabinets, rotted out sink base, false drawer fronts, lots of filler boards between cabinets, blind corner cabinet they could not reach back into, cabinet and drawer under the peninsula overhang, a small island, and an odd cubby hole in the wall, we suggested going all new to add so much more functionality with just a little bit more added to their budget. Seeing all the added benefits with only a slight change to the footprint of their existing cabinetry and all the added benefits and features, it was not a difficult decision for them. Then they decided to add matching cabinet doors to their existing shelving which was painted to match with an accent color!
One of the unique features we were able to add to this space was taking the odd cubby hole in the wall which could not be extended any higher due to the bonus room floor just above that space was the make it into a pet feeding station and extra storage for their small appliances! By adding matching tile and countertop material it can handle even the messiest of doggie drinkers.
Aside from the fresh paint in the whole space, a gorgeous accent color added to the living room shelves and doors, and soft white upper cabinets allowed for the wood base cabinets to create a warm and open feeling while the under and above cabinet task lighting brightens and lifts the space to looking like it even has taller ceilings. Selecting just the right light fixtures give is just the right light in just the right places for a much more updated look that now matches the rest of their house!

This kitchen layout stayed the same, but a huge impact was made with clean front cabinets, a warm stain, and flush modern detailing. A walk in pantry was converted into 3 adjacent pull out pantries for ease of use. A soffit was hidden behind false panels to extend the cabinetry up to the 9' ceilings. Satin glass fronts break up the wood tones beautifully, with an exquisite laser cut stone backsplash lit beautifully with undercabinet task lighting. Modern black pendants and arched sink add architectural detail and contrast to the pristine white countertops.

For the Dining Room we selected Lemon-wood as the featured species and designed the table, sideboard and built in hutch featuring it. The wall housing the hitch had a significant section that set 4" proud of the rest of the wall. The two door section to the right of the center glass section is false and was created to balance the unit on the wall. The use of Acid-washed glass enabled us to pull off the charade. The table base is bolted to the floor to minimize it's footprint and support its weight when opened with leaves to seat 10. The sideboard , again specifically designed for it's function and storage is topped with an inset stone that replicates the pattern of the Lemon-wood. The rear of the sideboard was designed to follow the angle of the sofa against which it stands. The Living Room beyond was designed to celebrate music and the spectacular views of the city beyond the floor to ceiling windows. The sofa, like all of the furniture throughout were custom designed by MB Designs for this project.. The carpets in the entrance, Dining and Living room carpets (also by MB Designs) were created having the field of each in matching color with each respective border a varying color providing a continuity to the overall space while offering each a defining element of it's own.

This 2019 project for award-winning engineer and former Blackbird Academy instructor Ernesto Olvera-LaPier was one of NILES’ earliest ventures into designing and building a fully formal Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering environment. The result is a highly accurate, purpose-built suite engineered to meet the strict demands of immersive audio work.
The room is completely acoustically isolated from the surrounding structure. Sound-reducing wall systems sit atop floating-floor assemblies, paired with a full soft-ceiling bass trap, a false rear-wall trap, and custom full-lite acoustic doors. Dedicated mechanical systems ensure quiet, uninterrupted operation, allowing Ernesto to work with precision at any hour.
Monitoring centers around a JBL M2 system seamlessly integrated into the treatment design, providing an immersive, detailed, and articulate listening experience essential for Dolby Atmos production. Every component—from the isolation assemblies to the tuning—was crafted to ensure that the mix translates exactly as intended.
The suite is both visually understated and technically advanced, delivering an effortless feel with professional-grade performance throughout.
