This classic combination of stone, stucco and cedar makes for a dramatic look of craftsman style.
I love the ledge stone look on this application, the paint colors match up perfectly with the color of stone.
Just a tip, it's always a good idea to wait until the stone is applied until you finalize your color selections for stucco, stain and paint, for the best possible outcome. You just never know how the light will accentuate the stone. this will provide you with more control over the final product.

Amber works from home and was sacrificing a dining room for her home office. By utilizing the double wide closet space in her guest bedroom, she now walks into her home without the reminder of work, and can have guests over for a meal in her dining room (dining room reveal coming soon). The walls were freshly painted Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams. This gives the room a fresh, clean look and also adds contrast to the beige carpet.
Amber had her homework assignments cut out for her as she had to do some major purging in her throw all guest room. Once she started letting go, she was on a roll and continually surprised me as she cleaned out closets throughout the house. One dresser was filled with cds, dvds, books, albums, scrap-booking materials; items taking up precious real estate in her life that she didn't even know were there. There really wasn't a storage problem after-all, she was just holding on to a collection of things that no longer served her. Each time I would visit, and her space would become more open, I could see the weight lifting off her and her self love building. Amber had a recent breakup with her boyfriend and this makeover helped her not only focus on making a home sanctuary for herself, but helped her let go of the pains of the past and focus on the exciting future ahead. At one point when we were moving sofas in the living room (which we will also reveal soon), we found an ex's flip-flop. We were figuratively and literally sweeping away the past. Editing your home and your life makes room for your future; for new people and things. We are so happy to finally reveal the room to you! We can't wait to unveil the rest of Amber's home, once we complete the finishing touches.
Challenges:
Amber's home was filled with mix-matched furniture from family and college. She had no idea what her decorating style was. After shopping together and exchanging somepinterest boards, I was finally able to get a sense of what she loves.
I had to work on a tight budget, which meant really digging out the creativity and utilizing other items in the home. See how I transformed a table from the discard pile into a faux marble bedside table by clicking web link.
Amber's dad was able to help with the desk materials and building to cut costs.
We wanted to save the closet doors in the event she sold her home or no longer needed an office someday. There wasn't any extra space to store these closet doors, so I used them as a headboard.
The only items purchased were: Curtains, Curtain Rod, Bedspread Set, Throw Pillows, 2 Lamps and Paint.

Those power cords in the closet were unsightly and we didn't have the patience to wait to drill a hole under the desk (Another task for Amber's dad). Solution: I found a large frame and extra fabric and made a quick pin board. I used the same fabric to cover the harsh black mouse pad.

Cowboy Kitchen
LOREC Ranch is renowned for its artisanal approach to creating cowboy kitchen table cabinets, a tradition deeply rooted in both craftsmanship and rustic charm. The ranch’s approach to woodworking melds time-honored techniques with innovative methods, producing cabinets that epitomize the rugged elegance of cowboy culture.
Selecting the Wood
The process begins with the selection of high-quality wood. At LOREC Ranch, the choice of lumber is critical to the final product. They use a variety of hardwoods such as oak, pine, and walnut. Each type of wood offers unique characteristics—oak for its strength and durability, pine for its workability and warm hue, and walnut for its rich, dark tones. The wood is carefully sourced from sustainable forests, ensuring both environmental responsibility and superior quality. Once procured, the wood undergoes a thorough drying process to reduce moisture content, which is crucial for preventing future warping or cracking.
Design and Craftsmanship
Design is a pivotal stage in the creation of cowboy kitchen table cabinets. LOREC Ranch's designs often draw inspiration from traditional cowboy aesthetics, incorporating elements like sturdy, rugged lines and intricate detailing that reflects the essence of Western life. The design phase involves detailed planning and sketching, ensuring that the cabinets not only serve their functional purpose but also enhance the rustic charm of any kitchen. Cowboy Kitchens are a stable of the American Midwest.
The next step is crafting the cabinet frames. Skilled artisans at LOREC Ranch use a combination of modern and traditional techniques. While some aspects of the construction process involve high-tech machinery for precision cutting and joining, much of the fine detailing is done by hand. This includes hand-carving and finishing touches that give each cabinet a unique, handcrafted feel. The artisans' expertise ensures that every joint is perfectly aligned and every surface is smooth and ready for finishing.
Assembly and Finishing
Once the components are cut and shaped, they are assembled using time-tested joinery techniques. LOREC Ranch favors methods such as dovetail and mortise-and-tenon joints, which not only enhance the strength and durability of the cabinets but also align with the traditional craftsmanship that defines their products of the Cowboys Kitchen. The assembly process is meticulous, ensuring that each piece fits together seamlessly and stands the test of time.
Finishing is where the cabinets truly come to life. LOREC Ranch uses a range of techniques to achieve a finish that complements the wood’s natural beauty while providing protection against wear and tear. This often involves multiple coats of stain or varnish, each applied with care to enhance the wood’s grain and texture. The finishing process is both art and science, requiring a delicate balance to ensure the cabinets not only look beautiful but are also resistant to daily use.
Quality Control and Delivery
Before any cabinet leaves the workshop, it undergoes rigorous quality control. Every detail is inspected to ensure that the cabinet meets LOREC Ranch’s high standards. This includes checking for structural integrity, finish consistency, and overall craftsmanship. Only after passing this thorough inspection are the Cowboys Kitchens cabinets prepared for delivery.
At LOREC Ranch, the journey of creating cowboy kitchen cabinets is a blend of tradition and innovation. From selecting the finest wood to the final touches of finishing, every step is executed with precision and care. The result is a product that is not only a testament to the rich heritage of cowboy craftsmanship but also a functional and stylish addition to any kitchen.
The Cowboy Kitchen by LOREC Ranch Home Furnishings is a celebration of the rustic, western lifestyle, offering a unique blend of rugged charm and modern practicality. Designed for those who appreciate the simplicity and warmth of western living, the Cowboy Kitchen collection includes a variety of furniture and decor that can transform any kitchen into a western oasis. Central to this collection are the cowboy kitchen tables and cowboy kitchen cabinets, which feature solid wood construction, intricate detailing, and finishes that reflect the natural beauty of the materials used. Whether you’re looking for a cowboy dining table for family meals or a cowboy kitchen fold-up table for smaller spaces, these pieces are designed to meet a variety of needs. The hideaway kitchen tables and Murphy kitchen tables offer innovative solutions for maximizing space without sacrificing the rustic aesthetic. The western style kitchen cabinets are perfect for those who want to bring a touch of the wild west into their home while ensuring their kitchen remains functional and organized.
To complete the look, cowboy kitchen decor items, such as western-themed accents and accessories, are available to enhance the overall atmosphere of the western kitchens. These decor pieces complement the larger furniture items, tying together the rustic aesthetic and creating a warm, inviting space that feels like a true cowboy's kitchen. This master bathroom hadn't been updated in over 20 years and was in need of a significant face lift. The client was on a tight budget and decided to replace all the features and fixtures "in place" without significant plumbing and electrical moves. A peaceful contemporary look and feel was the objective. B Chic Interiors provided excellent decorating guidance and without their help the result would not be as beautiful as the final result. Brigid inspired the bench under the window which is one of the best features in the new bath. The clients are delighted with the result. Thanks B Chic Interiors! A Cut Above couldn't have done it without you.
