An Indian carving contemplates its relationship with a Buffalo as you enter the front hall of our client’s home. The life-sized buffalo is actually a plaster relief we created to tie in with the intricately carved Indian statue. We made a stencil of the Buffalo and used plaster to build up the sculpture, then applied layers of Venetian plaster and which was then buffed and polished which helped the details telescope through. Then colored glazes were applied to further highlight areas, then the wall was waxed and polished a final time. The final result of this art installation was stunning!

For conversation starters, Komal set the neutral palette against bright, blue accents. The final result was a remodeled kitchen that was not only user-friendly, filled with nifty space-saving storage arrangements and attention-grabbing fixtures, but also eco-friendly, completed with energy-saving appliances.

Set within a beautiful city neighborhood off West River Road, this 1940’s cottage was completely updated, remodeled and added to, resulting in a “new house” for the enjoyment of its long-term owners, who plans to remain in the home indefinitely. Each room in the house was restored and refreshed and new spaces were added including kitchen, family room, mudroom, guest bedroom and studio. A new detached garage was sited to provide a screen from the alley and to create a courtyard for a more private backyard. Careful consideration was given to the streetscape and neighboring houses on both the front and back elevations to assure that massing, new materials and exterior details complemented the existing house, street and neighborhood. Fresh kitchen with updated materials for a clean, modern look with a few traditional details to complement the owner’s collections. Added cabinets and drawers Increased storage capacity. Increasing walkway space and opening space to the living room was a major goal. Finally, changing the original double-sided rough stone fireplace walls resulted in a simpler, more streamlined look.

Final result for this beautiful entrance. The steps are now wider and have a more contemporary look. The steps and wall has been cladded with granite veneer and the step treads are also granite. There is a built-in planter on the side of the steps that will add some greenery and a pop of color. At the bottom, we created a frame for the steps and a walkway going to the side door of the house with raven color pavers.

You would never know this home was knee high with sea water thanks to Super Storm Sandy. Thankfully, it was well built and the structure stood its ground. A full first floor gut was needed to remove all of the water damaged sections. It wasn't a pretty sight at first. This project took us over a year to complete. Were proud of the final result and our clients love it too! Welcome home!

At the Newman residence we did a full baluster swap. The old white wooden pickets were removed to make way for our powder coated wrought iron balusters, and we did our usual touch up and stain work. The final result is a stair transformation that gives the space that old world touch that is emblematic of wrought iron.

This project was about a remodel of an apartment in Mexico City, the client asked for the visualization of the space to make decisions around the design, materials and furniture. These renders are the final result of those decisions.

A beautiful transitional design was created by removing the range and microwave and adding a cooktop, under counter oven and hood. The microwave was relocated and an under counter microwave was incorporated into the design. These appliances were moved to balance the design and create a perfect symmetry. Additionally the small appliances, coffee maker, blender and toaster were incorporated into the pantries to keep them hidden and the tops clean. The walls were removed to create a great room concept that not only makes the kitchen a larger area but also transmits an inviting design appeal. The master bath room had walls removed to accommodate a large double vanity. Toilet and shower was relocated to recreate a better design flow. Products used were Miralis matte shaker white cabinetry. At the Shammas’ Houston home we did a full baluster upgrade. The old wooden pickets were removed to make way for our Italian wrought iron balusters, and we did our regular touch up work to make sure the final product was as polished as can be. The end result is an elegant stair and rail that complements the space, giving the entryway a beautiful aesthetic.
