At the Shammas’ Houston home we did a full baluster upgrade. The old wooden pickets were removed to make way for our Italian wrought iron balusters, and we did our regular touch up work to make sure the final product was as polished as can be. The end result is an elegant stair and rail that complements the space, giving the entryway a beautiful aesthetic.

Revival Flooring installed these custom sized wood tiles in the foyer of a home built in the 1880's. The species include white oak, and red maple. The entire floor was trowel filled and then sanded down. The final result is a wood floor that looks like tile. It has a bit of texture and hides wear and tear so well.

The client was referred to us by the builder to build a vacation home where the family mobile home used to be. Together, we visited Key Largo and once there we understood that the most important thing was to incorporate nature and the sea inside the house. A meeting with the architect took place after and we made a few suggestions that it was taking into consideration as to change the fixed balcony doors by accordion doors or better known as NANA Walls, this detail would bring the ocean inside from the very first moment you walk into the house as if you were traveling in a cruise. A client's request from the very first day was to have two televisions in the main room, at first I did hesitate about it but then I understood perfectly the purpose and we were fascinated with the final results, it is really impressive!!! and he does not miss any football games, while their children can choose their favorite programs or games. An easy solution to modern times for families to share various interest and time together. Our purpose from the very first day was to design a more sophisticate style Florida Keys home with a happy vibe for the entire family to enjoy vacationing at a place that had so many good memories for our client and the future generation. This lovely Nantucket-style home was craving an update and one that worked well with today's family and lifestyle. The remodel included a full kitchen remodel, a reworking of the back entrance to include the conversion of a tuck-under garage stall into a rec room and full bath, a lower level mudroom equipped with a dog wash and a dumbwaiter to transport heavy groceries to the kitchen, an upper-level mudroom with enclosed lockers, which is off the powder room and laundry room, and finally, a remodel of one of the upper-level bathrooms. The homeowners wanted to preserve the structure and style of the home which resulted in pulling out the Nantucket inherent bones as well as creating those cozy spaces needed in Minnesota, resulting in the perfect marriage of styles and a remodel that works today's busy family.

This customer wanted to replace their very outdated kitchen with a very modern style/feel. The results are absolutely gorgeous. It provides a great balance of contrast and the final product looks huge

The customer had us do the patio and knee wall a few years before. They asked us back to add a fire place. We were able to match the stone so that it looks like it was done at the same time. The older work was also cleaned and the final results speak for themselves.

SANTA BARBARA / SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL Situated on Santa Barbara’s upper east side, this Mediterranean Casita is neighbor to the lovely Santa Barbara Mission Rose Garden. Originally constructed in 1925, and designed by noted Santa Barbara architect Mary Osborne Craig, this beautiful historic residence was delicately remodeled in 2009. The new additions match the quiet asymmetrical massing of the original layout, and all new details carefully replicate the unique craftsmanship of the 1920’s. The final result is a modernized home that blends beautifully into the heart of Santa Barbara’s historic district.

With sweeping views of the Willamette river and Mt. Hood, this Atwater Place condo was designed with a balance of minimalism and livability in mind. A complete kitchen remodel brought a dark interior kitchen to the light and a full furnishings package welcomed Los Angeles transplants home to their new modern and bright residence. Our clients, a retired camera operator for both feature films and television and a producer/production manager on numerous television series including Weeds and The Middle, relocated from their traditionally-styled LA bungalow to Portland in the Summer of 2014. The couple sought a design departure from their long-term California residence and a fresh start for their new life in the South Waterfront. With only two pieces of sentimental furniture and a handful of artwork included in the plan, we set out to create a comfortable and clean-lined furnishings package complimenting the broad southeast views. Organically shaped upholstery pieces juxtaposed with angular steel and wood tables create a soft balance in the open floor plan. Several custom pieces, including a dining table designed by our studio and a custom hand-blown glass chandelier crafted by Scott Schiesel with Lightlite compliment timeless pieces from Knoll, Herman Miller, and B&B Italia. The kitchen is designed to reflect light and create brilliance in a space that is otherwise naturally dark. A material balance of stainless steel, back painted glass, quartz composite, lacquer, and mirror all play their part in creating a vibrant cooking environment. We collectively decided to forgo the traditional island pendant for a linear commercial fixture that provides tremendous light to the prep surface and creates an unexpected architectural element. The mirrored prep island creates the illusion of open space while concealing casework and wine storage on the working side of the kitchen. It is worth noting that this project was designed and installed almost entirely while our clients were still living in LA and wrapping up professional obligations and selling their home. This afforded us the tremendous opportunity to send our clients to showrooms not available in Portland to view key pieces before final specification. Textiles and finish samples were approved via mail and communication took place over e-mail, telephone, and an occasional office visit. Woodside, CA spa-sauna project is one of our favorites. From the very first moment we realized that meeting customers expectations would be very challenging due to limited timeline but worth of trying at the same time. It was one of the most intense projects which also was full of excitement as we were sure that final results would be exquisite and would make everyone happy. This sauna was designed and built from the ground up by TBS Construction's team. Goal was creating luxury spa like sauna which would be a personal in-house getaway for relaxation. Result is exceptional. We managed to meet the timeline, deliver quality and make homeowner happy. TBS Construction is proud being a creator of Atherton Luxury Spa-Sauna.

FINAL RESULT - We did NOT sand these beams to get down to the wood. We painted over them. We loved the finished product, but more importantly, so does our client.

MOON HILL BATH - WINNER 2013 PRISM AWARD - BEST BATHROOM Initially designed in 1950, this antiquated bathroom was ready for an update. The home, envisioned by The Architect’s Collaborative (a progressive group founded in part by Bauhaus architect Walter Gropius), is part of a community inspired by the modernism movement. Clearly in need of aesthetic and functional improvements, the new renovation stays true to its utilitarian modern heritage. SPACE By reclaiming underutilized closet space from an abutting home office, the re-visioned plan feels more spacious, even with the addition of a deep soaking tub. The new layout also shields the toilet from view when the door is left open. COLORS The harsh yellow tones have been replaced by a warm palette of soft grays and browns. Daylight is refracted through cut glass window art, created by the homeowner. SIMPLICITY Contiguous tile work, carefully patterned, weaves through the space. Simplicity and added storage complete the design by removing the normal visual clutter of a bathroom and offering the reassurance of clean organization. Pegboards inside the custom medicine cabinet create a discrete place for every bathroom accessory. RESULT The final result is a modern oasis with soothing spa-like qualities that offers an escape from frenetically paced everyday life. The remodeling company business owners had been so busy designing and building other people's homes that they never had the time to focus on their own house. However, after years of putting it off, they finally decided to remodel their home space, starting with building an office for themselves. The result was a beautiful and functional space that exceeded their expectations. The office features lots of cabinetry in bright white, providing much-needed storage space for their work materials.
