When Mike and Joan Walters purchased a penthouse in The Luxe, a 23-story luxury condominium near Piedmont Park in Atlanta, they called on Margaret Barnett, Barnett & Co., and her associate Walter Kennedy to design the interiors and consult on furniture selections. For sourcing most of their furnishings, the Walters looked to another designer they’d known and worked with, Atlanta Cantoni’s Mercedes Williams. The Walters ProjectThe finished product demonstrates that this turned out to be a brilliantly creative collaboration among client, designers and Cantoni. With each room framed by the wraparound balcony and spectacular views, the 3,200-square foot penthouse is washed in natural light, the team’s basic design element. The beautiful wood floors and custom cabinetry and stone flooring and fireplace anchor a palette of warm neutral colors––from black to white, from dark chocolates to buttery yellows–– that blend into a harmonious unity throughout. Subtle accents are delivered by lighting, antique carpets, accessories and art. The Walters ProjectThe collaboration was clockwork. Says Mercedes, “I’d meet with the client and designers in our showroom to discuss the project and tour our collections. The designers and I fine-tuned the options, then again with the client to finalize their selections. On a project like this, you really appreciate Cantoni’s huge selection and in-stock inventory.” Mike sums it up: “Joan and I knew perfectly well what we wanted and Margaret, Walter and Mercedes tuned in to our vision and made it reality. Eclectic Perennial Garden

Rooms filled with light, fine art and antique furniture were the backdrops for our "Kentfield Collected" project. This was an overall home refresh and our team loved the challenge of bringing new life to the exquisite existing collection of art and antiques. We started with thoughtful space planning to achieve an overall outcome that is more pleasing for the clients' enjoyment of the home when each room feels more balanced. The refreshing of exciting items and the selection of a few new pieces brought a touch of light, beauty and pop of unexpected that paired beautifully with the treasured finds of the homeowners. In the powder bath, the poppy wall covering, navy vanity and silvery metallic ceiling paint is one of the pops of unexpected delight you will find in the home. Our team designed beautiful linen draperies in a creamy gold-tone that perfectly framed the amazing view from the dining room windows. The buffet in a dark navy with a faux Belgian linen finish and a pair of crystal lamps were the right balance to complement the wall art in the room. The addition of a game table to the living room framed by a mirror and scones is an ideal spot for a game of cards or stunning flowers. The reupholstered chaise took on a hip and vibrant vibe in a lush green velvet fabric and placed in a perfectly edited guest suite. Custom outdoor cushions and pillows create a spot to enjoy the deck and views at the end of the day. Let us also not forget Buster (our project mascot) welcoming guests to this fine-tuned Kentfield beauty.

Graybox is a 950 sq. ft. studio environment designed and built by NILES to redefine what a home-based creative space can be. The client wanted a light-filled, timeless studio that balanced aesthetic warmth with the precision and durability of a commercial facility. Our team handled the full scope—from architectural acoustics and mechanical planning to framing, treatments, electrical distribution, and final integration. The Control Room is a compact, golden-ratio mix suite engineered for accuracy, featuring a finely tuned treatment plan and a Barefoot monitor system. The Live Room gains surprising scale from its 16’ ceiling, delivering sonic depth and natural ambience ideal for full-band tracking, ensemble sessions, or detailed acoustic work. Expansive glass and natural light shape the visual character of the studio while maintaining controlled isolation and proper acoustic performance. This space was built to function as a dual-purpose creative hub for music recording and video production. The open layout supports multi-camera film shoots, quick-turn content capture, and flexible session flow. Engineers, producers, and artists can walk in, sit down, and work immediately thanks to intuitive wiring paths, plug-and-play audio infrastructure, and a layout designed for seamless movement between rooms. Graybox has become a go-to destination for both recording and visual content, hosting sessions and video work for Capitol Records, Meinl Cymbals, The Dove Awards, Gibson, and many others. The result is a studio that feels as inspiring as it sounds—purpose-built, timeless, and engineered for long-term creative use.

An inspired hybrid of fabric shades and horizontal blinds, Mezzanine Layered Shades offer the ultimate flexibility in light control. In two closely linked layers of fabric stripes of sheer fabric combine with tightly woven bands of color.
