A "Happy Home" was our goal when designing this vacation home in Key Largo for a Delaware family. Lots of whites and blues accentuated by other primary colors such as orange and yellow.

The homeowner's chose our custom cabinetry line, Caves Millwork, so they would not be limited by the restrictions of a manufactured line. We were able to build the exact design and layout of the homeowners' desires to truly fit their personalities and lifestyle. The natural cherry cabinetry was crafted by our wood workers to perfectly fit around this commercial size range. This Grapevine project was designed to damage a minimum amount of trees on a nice hillside. A raised wall was incorporated on the back of the pool that acts as a retaining wall to provide a flat spot for the pool. On the upper terrace above we built the cabana. Two inch sawcut Limestone was used for all the veneer to give a clean tailored look to the project. The spa was elevated and white precast coping was used along with the pool. A dark pattern concrete was used for the deck color to contrast. On the cabana we tried to match the existing house style, precast columns were used instead of typical stone columns. The cabana was done in pine and painted white instead of the typical cedar application. A comp roof was used. Built in bar & cabinets to recess existing grill carts were installed. A fire pit was placed to the side of the cabana at the pool level. A finger ledge was used on the raised wall to provide safety. Sheer rain was used on the project to provide a focal point - It provides more of a visual effect against the white Austin stone vs. a sheer descent. This bedroom and full bathroom are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together. A partial double closet bar adds a little extra space while still leaving room for longer hanging clothes.

This was a complete remodel and relocation of the kitchen. Walls were torn down and the space was reconfigured to create a large and open space that is perfect for this client's love of cooking and entertaining. This transitional kitchen features custom cabinetry and a custom gray stain. The glass tile back splash adds a reflective property to the room, as well as a lightness. Our clients need a complete update to their master bathroom. Storage and comfort were the main focus with this remodel. Design elements included built in medicine cabinets, cabinet pullouts and a beautiful teak wood shower floor. Textured tile in the shower gives an added dimension to this luxurious new space.

This project shows the remodel of a small 1950's vintage home master bathroom. 8"" x 18" Calcutta gold marble tile was used on the shower walls and floor wall base and ceramic gray penny tile on the floor. Shower includes curbless pan / floor, dual shower boxes, frameless glass slider, trough duel fixture sink and chrome fixtures.

Our client had been living in her beautiful lakeside retreat for about 3 years. All around were stunning views of the lake and mountains, but the view from inside was minimal. It felt dark and closed off from the gorgeous waterfront mere feet away. She desired a bigger kitchen, natural light, and a contemporary look. Referred to JRP by a subcontractor our client walked into the showroom one day, took one look at the modern kitchen in our design center, and was inspired! After talking about the frustrations of dark spaces and limitations when entertaining groups of friends, the homeowner and the JRP design team emerged with a new vision. Two walls between the living room and kitchen would be eliminated and structural revisions were needed for a common wall shared a wall with a neighbor. With the wall removals and the addition of multiple slider doors, the main level now has an open layout. Everything in the home went from dark to luminous as sunlight could now bounce off white walls to illuminate both spaces. Our aim was to create a beautiful modern kitchen which fused the necessities of a functional space with the elegant form of the contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen playfully mixes frameless white upper with horizontal grain oak lower cabinets and a fun diagonal white tile backsplash. Gorgeous grey Cambria quartz with white veining meets them both in the middle. The large island with integrated barstool area makes it functional and a great entertaining space. The master bedroom received a mini facelift as well. White never fails to give your bedroom a timeless look. The beautiful, bright marble shower shows what's possible when mixing tile shape, size, and color. The marble mosaic tiles in the shower pan are especially bold paired with black matte plumbing fixtures and gives the shower a striking visual.
