This Palm Springs inspired, one story, 8,245 sq. ft. modernist “party pad” merges golf and Rat Pack glamour. The net-zero home provides resort-style living and overlooks fairways and water views. The front elevation of this mid-century, sprawling ranch showcases a patterned screen that provides transparency and privacy. The design element of the screen reappears throughout the home in a manner similar to Frank Lloyd Wright’s use of design patterns throughout his homes. The home boasts a HERS index of zero. A 17.1 kW Photovoltaic and Tesla Powerwall system provides approximately 100% of the electrical energy needs. Kitchen design and full gut remodel in post and beam kitchen. New layout to improve functionality and flow, with center kitchen island, tall pantry storage cabinet, soft gray-beige shaker-style cabinets (Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter), quartz countertop, stacked subway tile backsplash, metal mesh cabinet fronts, Thermador range and hood vent, paneled refrigerator, Shaw's fireclay apron-front sink, matte black fixtures and hardware, cable lighting, and hardwood flooring.

This home remodel was an incredible transformation that turned a traditional Boulder home into an open concept, refined space perfect for hosting. The Melton design team aimed at keeping the space fresh, which included industrial design elements to keep the space feeling modern. Our favorite aspect of this home transformation is the openness from room to room. The open concept allows plenty of opportunities for this lively family to host often and comfortably.
