The homeowners desired an environment that was comfortable, interesting and tactile without being fussy or overdone. An approachable gathering place that strikes a formidable silhouette on the landscape was the result. Much consideration was given to views that surround the home. The home sits on a reservoir and has breathtaking views from almost every room that the designers wanted to honor.

The Ascension - Super Ranch on Acreage in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc. for the Clark County Parade of Homes 2016. As soon as you pass under the timber framed entry and through the custom 8ft tall double-doors you’re immersed in a landscape of high ceilings, sharp clean lines, soft light and sophisticated trim. The expansive foyer you’re standing in offers a coffered ceiling of 12ft and immediate access to the central stairwell. Procession to the Great Room reveals a wall of light accompanied by every angle of lush forest scenery. Smyth Apartments, formerly known as Woodbury, was built in 2009 on a park-like, 6.36-acre parcel. A gated entry leads to a 127-unit community that includes a large clubhouse, fitness center, heated pool and spa, dog park, pet-washing station, outdoor basketball court, and playground. Residents also have access to secure package lockers and a small business center inside the clubhouse. Smyth has received an abundance of preventive maintenance over the years, but its common areas and unit interiors are outdated. TMR completed a comprehensive $2,335,000 renovation and rebranding of this community. Upon completion of these upgrades, TMR believes that Smyth Apartments will be a formidable competitor in the Olympia market.

A busy working mother’s dark and dismal home office is transformed into a lively and inviting sanctuary. Dated, stained wood shelves are painted a flirtatious pale pink. The ceiling is emboldened with unexpected, outsized floral blossom wallpaper in provocative shades of fuchsia and violet. Oak floors are refinished and topped with an acid washed cow hide rug. Walls are swathed in multiple layers of pastel paint, mimicking grass cloth to add texture and interest. Delicate brass sconces flank a dimensional marble sculpture behind an elegant desk featuring fluted sides and tapered legs that further nod to femininity. The formidable, artisanal chandelier with multiple swirled glass orbs, allows light to gracefully shimmer across the space’s newfound sensual appeal.

This project combines high end earthy elements with elegant, modern furnishings. We wanted to re invent the beach house concept and create an home which is not your typical coastal retreat. By combining stronger colors and textures, we gave the spaces a bolder and more permanent feel. Yet, as you travel through each room, you can't help but feel invited and at home.

DCS Industries installed two sets of 30-foot security fencing to enclose the perimeter of the property and prevent unauthorized entry. Composed of powerful, black wrought iron, the fencing has an intimidating appearance that is sure to deter intruders. However, if anyone did try to make a forbidden entry onto the property, they would find the security fencing virtually impossible to breach. The gaps between the fence’s pickets are narrow, prohibiting intruders from slipping between them, and the wrought iron is strong and unyielding. Wrought iron is always an excellent choice for security fencing because it is naturally durable and difficult to climb. The fencing also includes pickets that are curved at the top, contributing to the formidable appearance and adding an extra layer of protection against anyone who might try to scale the fence.
