The entry opens to the large step down living room. Arches to the living room mimic the shape of the custom entry door set. A semi circle ottoman provides a spot to sit. The painting is from one of the client's favorite cities, New Orleans

Moving from the foyer into the family room, you’ll discover the dramatic one-of-a-kind custom millwork. The stunning fireplace in the family room echoes the wood tones from the transitional staircase. The built-in was designed by the HD interior design team with remarkable detailing and added storage. The asymmetrical look adds a contemporary interest and dimension to the space, proving that even new construction homes can have character, as long as the interior design is carefully approached.

An entry way is the first thing your guest see when they walk into your house, so make it special. This entry way is clean but not simple, with light gray walls, a double white lacquered console table, holding two tall crystal table lamps and an original coral bowl. on the wall is hanging a colorful shadow box featuring painted 3D wood squares. And for extra seating are two round teal tufted velvet ottomans with acrylic bases.

Guests enter the home through a walled courtyard garden and walk into this large foyer with beautiful millwork and moldings. The Japanese screens flanking the entry into the living room were purchased by the clients in London, adding drama to the space while offering a glimpse into their collection of Eastern antiques and artwork. A custom circular ottoman reminiscent of a piece that might be found in a private club in London was designed and upholstered in a crushed linen-mohair blend accented with an intertwining nailhead pattern. The spectacular chandelier was the clients’ own.
