This original 1950's kitchen with a pink backsplash and pale blue appliances needed a fresh take. Hardwood floors were installed to match the existing wood on the first floor. Bright white quartz countertops and a white backsplash created using both flat/glossy and matte/raised hex tiles created a textured flower pattern. Slab front cabinets in a mixture of wood and white tackled the storage issues. The pop of orange of the Bertazonni oven is the counter balance to the cool fresh wall color and tons of natural light. A beautiful, functional space to create healthy meals for her family was paramount to our client. We created this fresh space by dropping a touch of Palm Springs into the Pacific Northwest.

The exterior kitchen wall has so many functions, but manages to stay beautiful. Lower cabinets provide storage near the range and under the sink. A deep, apron front sink and bridge faucet are practical and lovely. The tiled window wall also holds the range hood. A crisp white palette keep things fresh. - Dibble Photography

In this beautiful master bath, everything was completely gutted. The former version had carpet, turquoise tile everywhere and a cylinder glass block shower. The new design opens up the space. We shed the carpet for a classic tile pattern (with heated coils underneath), and squared off the shower. Custom cabinets and mirrors make up the vanity, and a freestanding tub was installed. Custom shades were also installed on all of the windows.

We gave our clients a fresh and modern design with a neutral and soft color palette that is enriched with warm woods, luxurious quartzite marble and delicate finishes.

The kitchen has a lot of glass surfaces thanks to which a lot of light enters the room. In addition, the large number of doors and windows allows fresh, clean air to easily enter the kitchen.
The kitchen island with an integrated sink, white countertops and some beautiful chairs around them is an eye-catcher. In the quiet corner of the kitchen, there is a stylish dining table that allows the owners to talk peacefully and receive guests warmly.

This house, built in the 1960s, sits southfacing on a terrific wooded lot in Bethesda, Maryland.
The owners desire a whole-house renovation which would improve the general building fabric and systems, and extend the sense of living out of doors in all seasons.
The original sixties-modern character is preserved and the renovation extends the design forward into a contemporary, modern approach. Connections to and through the site are enhanced through the creation of new larger window and door openings.
Screened porches and decks perch above the sloped and wooded site. The new kitchen and bathrooms allow for opportunities to feel out-of -doors while preparing, cooking, dining, and bathing.
Smart passive strategies guide the environmental choices for this project, including envelope improvements, updated mechanical systems, and on-site stormwater management.

Bright laundry room with a rustic touch. Distressed wood countertop with storage above. Industrial looking pipe was install overhead to hang laundry. We used the timber frame of a century old barn to build this rustic modern house. The barn was dismantled, and reassembled on site.
