For those lucky enough to live lakeside in New Hampshire, warm evening summer breezes are best enjoyed from a comfortable screened porch. This summer camp underwent a drastic renovation and expansion so the family could enjoy life at the lake and offer year-round living to future generations. The project’s design especially focused around expanding the existing screened porch, where the family spends most of their time. Keeping the porch at the best viewing corner of the home, while expanding into a wrap-around style to best take in the water views, was important. Meticulous planning helped navigate the design around strict allowances for a residence with such close proximity to the water, per the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. To make the camp a family cottage, there was a complete re-facing of the exterior, a mudroom addition and a dormer addition to create an office space open to living areas below. Extensive renovations to the interior resulted in a new kitchen for family to gather, reconfiguration to create a first-floor master suite and improved access to the exterior, especially the wrap-around porch. This modern white bedroom has a custom built wall unit in white lacquer and wood mosaic headboard. The cabinets use the wall perfectly, using the space to its fullest. The wood wall design is called Grandini Legno and is also available in different materials including stone. The floor is a recycled granite and glass tile and the color is called Polar Ice.

This whole-house renovation transformed an 80’s home into a masterpiece for this growing family. With entertaining, function and livability in the forefront we created an open modern space for them to enjoy for decades. Complete with a kitchen do-over incorporating current high-end products and layout as well as a sunroom and living room overlooking their backyard pool, this has become a great family space. They also enjoy their new spa-like Master Bathroom, an updated Formal and Service Powder Baths and Laundry Room. They were delighted with the finished product and enjoy their home to its fullest now.

This contemporary update to a traditional Plano home was a welcome transformation. The combination formal living and dining space wasn’t being utilized to it’s fullest potential and the homeowners often avoided it. Special details like multiple mirrors and light bright colors energize a once dark room and invite guests. Plush details like velvet, penshell, black lacquer piano and an inlaid bone dining table bring a welcome, yet approachable formality to these rooms. Our goals for comfortable seating for dining and lounging while listening to the piano as well as a singular open space for entertaining was achieved!

The owners engaged us to conduct a full house renovation to bring this historic stone mansion back to its former glory. One of the highest priorities was updating the main floor’s more public spaces which serve as the diplomat's primary representation areas where special events are hosted. Worn wall-to-wall carpet was removed revealing original oak hardwood floors that were sanded and refinished with an Early American stain. Great attention to detail was given to the selection, customization and installation of new drapes, carpets and runners all of which had to complement the home’s existing antique furniture. The striking red runner gives new life to the grand hall and winding staircase and makes quite an impression upon entering the property. New ceilings, medallions, chandeliers and a fresh coat of paint elevate the spaces to their fullest potential. A customized bar was added to an adjoining sunroom that serves as spillover space for formal events and a more intimate setting for casual gatherings.

This project had some special meaning to the home owner. She is a 2 time cancer survivor who won the toughest battle of her life in regaining custody of her daughter. Her experiences taught her the importance of cherishing the moments and living life to the fullest. This Nautical themed kitchen adorns a home that overlooks the Western Coast line of San Francisco. Customer Navy Blue cabinets represent the deep that lies just beyond the back yard while the Marble Starburst mosaic backsplash explodes with contrast. Simple and timeless subway tile wrap the perimeter of the kitchen...and how about those brass handles?! Enjoy the view of waves crashing when looking out the window from the farm style sink. Although the drastic change of colors and styles gave new life to this kitchen; the vintage mixer and bistro table made of re-purposed wood pay homage to things of the past.

This Lincoln Park home was beautifully updated and completed with designer finishes to better suit the client’s aesthetic and highlight the space to its fullest potential. We focused on the gathering spaces to create a visually impactful and upscale design. We customized the built-ins and fireplace in the living room which catch your attention when entering the home. The downstairs was transformed into a movie room with a custom dry bar, updated lighting, and a gallery wall that boasts personality and style.

The Client asked me to design a poolscape that connected the outside to the inside. The challenge was to terrace the 10' of grade change in a comfortable fashion. I set the pool elevation half way between the kitchen and the lower yard where there is a walk out basement. Off of the kitchen I designed a dining patio which overlooks the pool. About 1100 sf of pool decking surrounds the pool area. I had fieldstone walls built to not only retain the grade but to also serve as a couple of sitting walls and places to put towels. I appreciate the client's trust in my abilities and their willingness to let me use my creativity to its fullest.
