Morgante Wilson Architects designed this ping-pong room to incorporate the functionality and theme of the man-cave below. All wall-hung accessories are owner supplied. The flooring was selected to complement the raw element of exposed brick while also adding a touch of warm through faux-wood vinyl planks

Our clients love to entertain, and their Modern Craftsman cottage is designed to welcome guests, make the most of their beautiful lakefront property, and give them all of the luxuries of a modern home.
Although a relatively modest size at 2,000 sq ft, this 4-season residence will feel larger, as both the main level and the walk-out lower level have high ceilings, plentiful windows, and open-concept spaces.
A cathedral ceiling runs from the front entry through the great room and the dining area is defined with a coffered ceiling. The open-concept great room with fireplace feature, dining area, and kitchen have a wall of glass facing the lake, bringing in the light and lovely view. The pantry, complete with window, is large enough for cabinets and a second fridge, allowing for the preparation of slow-cooker meals or hors d’oeuvres. Designed to provide a quiet retreat, the primary bedroom is configured for lower sound transmission from the entertaining areas, and includes a spacious walk-in closet and ensuite. The mudroom/laundry off the garage has a large walk-in closet. A den (also with walk-in closet) and a full bathroom are located near the front entrance. Running the full width of the lake-facing side of the cottage, the screened-in porch, open deck, and covered deck extend the interior with plentiful outdoor living space.
The lower level is not your typical basement! Designed with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake and a full-height walk-out, it will not feel like a basement. Much of the space is open and has special millwork on the ceiling to define the great room, games area with wet bar, and family/theatre room. Before entering the lower level from the outside, family and friends can use the outdoor shower and then store shoes and equipment in the cubbies immediately inside the door. A full bath is conveniently located inside the door for easy access from the lake. Two bedrooms are located on this level, each with an ensuite and walk-in closet. A storage room and mechanical room round out the lower level. Protected by the upper-level deck, the lower deck is as extensive as the upper one, with additional patio space towards the lake.
The oversized 30’x30′ garage is located to provide some extra privacy from the neighbours and supplies ample space for vehicles, watercraft, and equipment.

The client requested a bridge table and a working desk in the L-shaped living room and dining room. An awkward jog in the wall was expanded so that it aligns with the side of the desk. In order to make the computer monitor less noticeable, it was recessed into the jog and extends on an arm. (The lamp is normally on the other side of the desk.) There are two file drawers below the Audubon print and a third drawer for desk supplies.

The family room, previously a flat wall with no built-in features, was transformed to reduce clutter and create a more organized space. A custom-built wall unit was designed to maximize storage and functionality. This large unit features a mounted flatscreen TV set against a shiplap backdrop, with wires neatly concealed within the wall to minimize visible cords. The built-in unit includes two floor-to-ceiling bookcases on either side, each with open shelving both above and below. The center of the unit offers a combination of drawers and cabinet doors, providing 10 additional storage solutions. This versatile space is ideal for organizing children’s artwork, art supplies, movies, electronics, games, and more.
To enhance the overall aesthetic, crown molding was added to complement the unique sloped ceiling, along with baseboards and additional trim work. Additionally, wood floor laminate was installed throughout the entire first floor of the home, replacing outdated carpet and contributing to a cohesive, modern look.

This bright and cheerful craft room was designed to spark creativity and keep everything organized. Located in the heart of the remodeled basement, this space features custom cabinetry with ample storage, a sleek black countertop, and a playful tile backsplash. Open shelves display art supplies, while a bold chalkboard wall invites spontaneous doodles and ideas. A colorful mix of chairs brings fun energy to the clean-lined white table, making it perfect for both kids and adults to gather, craft, and create. With thoughtful lighting and a dedicated sink area, this multifunctional studio is the ideal spot for imagination to come to life.

When we set a home stage, we can do it all. Equipping a home is just that - equipping it to function. Everything you could need for your kitchen: small appliances, dishes, pots and pans, napkins, and tea towels.
We can even get a home set with necessary cleaning supplies and tools.
This kitchen was fully equipped, every item was carefully selected with function and looks in mind, and the finished result is a move in ready space.

Beautiful white porcelain pavers extend throughout the project for a simple, clean-looking, and easy-to-maintain design. We worked with the natural grade by adding stairs. These also separated the kids' space and kept the hot tub at a more accessible, natural-looking height. Since the homeowners planned to eventually add exterior doors out to the main outdoor living area, our architect designed the landscape with this in mind. The fire pit area is out of the way of the future doors yet still easily accessible. It also provides the perfect vantage point from the client's favorite swinging bench overlooking the fire pit to the property's immaculate lake view.
The finished backyard space meets our homeowner's needs flawlessly. From enjoying the lake view by the fire to watching the kids' basketball game from the hot tub, there are several picture-perfect places for this family to make memories for years to come!

Placing it in the kitchen, you can transform it into the tower and let your little one help you with kitchen chores. The child will feel like an adult, working together with parents.
Use the chair as a toy. Armed with imagination, your kid can create a fortress out of the chair-tower, ladder - into medieval stairs and cutouts - into windows. At the same time, you will be able to rest and watch them playing. Or joy the game and enjoy a few amazing hours with your kid.
The chair fits for kids from 8 months to 4 years old and can hold up to 60 kilos/133 pounds.

For 2 tweenagers, K. Rue Designs curated this space for creativity and major sleepovers to sleep around 14 girls! Lots of pink and light green invite the most fun and sweet little ladies to hang out in this space that was unused. A chalkboard wall in the back of the space warms the white craft table and chairs to let thoughts flow freely on the wall. A sleeper sofa and fold-out mattress chairs provide sufficient sleeping accommodations for all the girls friends. Even a family chair was incorporated as extra seating with colorful fabric to give it new youthful life. Artwork full of imagination adorns the walls in clear acrylic displays.

Our client wanted to finish the basement of his home where he and his wife could enjoy the company of friends and family and spend time at a beautiful fully stocked bar and wine cellar, play billiards or card games, or watch a movie in the home theater. The cabinets, wine cellar racks, banquette, barnwood reclaimed columns, and home theater cabinetry were designed and built in our in-house custom cabinet shop. Our company also supplied and installed the home theater equipment.

The homeowners wanted a designated space for their children's arts & crafts supplies, which is perfect to store within the island now.
