This extraordinary home was so much fun to design. We have previously worked on three of our client’s homes and by now, we spoke the same design language resulting in conversations, ideas, and decisions that came easy.
The colorful outdoors surrounding this Intracoastal residence inspired our choices throughout the design. Bold deep blues live harmoniously beside aquas, pinks, and soft metallics expressed in large artworks, dramatic art glass, and luxuriously upholstered chairs.
The monochromatic master bedroom, however, is a study in textures. Soft taupe-hued furnishings appear to float on a luxurious cloud of creamy white achieved with a wall-to-wall fur rug while a bold oversized chandelier made of a single ring of clear blown glass illuminates and sparkles against two large and dramatic beveled mirrors. Translucent lucite lamps and the room’s generous nightstand’s chrome legs round out this elegant bedroom’s glamorous finishes.
Implementing innovative use of secondary spaces including the home’s hallways, walkthrough, and closets, we cleverly installed a floor-to-ceiling illuminated wine cellar that is as much a design element as it is a lifestyle feature for our client’s extensive wine collection. An extra-wide, low, narrow blue flame glass wall fire feature is unexpected and holds its own underneath bold oversized artwork.
The home’s two expansive outdoor living spaces are designed for entertaining with generously furnished spaces for cooking and dining or just lounging poolside with your favorite people while enjoying the beautiful vistas that make this luxury home a dreamy one.

Built on our client's property, we constructed an enchanting two-story home featuring a three-car garage. The exterior design harmoniously integrates stacked stone and siding, complemented by board and batten shutters, sturdy solid wood front doors, a spacious front porch with a wood inlay ceiling and flagstone flooring, as well as embellished corbels.
The exquisite kitchen, enhanced with bespoke white cabinetry, a generous central island, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood flooring, effortlessly links to the family room. This open family space showcases a stone fireplace, a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, and abundant natural lighting.
This residence boasts a well-planned layout featuring an office, generous closet and storage spaces, and hardwood flooring throughout the living areas. Upstairs, you'll find a spacious bonus room, while the basement offers an expansive storage area and workshop.
The master bathroom is equipped with a double sink, a walk-in shower, a separate soaking tub, and a water closet. Additionally, there is a secondary kitchenette on the lower floor. The outdoor living area features a covered screen porch, an outdoor fireplace, and an in-ground swimming pool.

Deep, plush and built for comfort, our Echo Sofa combines style and coziness like no other. Upholstered in a gorgeous sand-coloured boucle, this sofa is 85″ wide making it perfect for big and smaller spaces. You’ll love the generous seating and deep chaise making it the perfect spot for lounging, snuggling up with your beloved, pup or latest book obsession.

The clients were inspired to renovate following exposure to Zen architecture while honeymooning in Japan. The architectural brief was to deliver a modern Australian home that serves as a private, meditative retreat that would also cater to a buzzing family as their relationship evolves; and transform into a welcoming and generous entertaining space. The home would need to maximise the potential of the sites orientation and create a strong connection to generous and versatile outdoor spaces including sheltered entertaining areas and spacious areas for planting and lawn. It was essential that elements of the existing residence be retained where possible to reduce waste, however disguised so that the final product was effectively a new home.

Komfoo house interior designed by STUDIO KONDE Konrad Idaszewski Architekt, a Poznań-based interior architect known for contemporary residential spaces that combine architectural clarity, comfort and carefully considered materials. Part of the Modelowedomy collection of three individually configurable houses, Komfoo is conceived as a comfortable home with a high living room and mezzanine, while the kitchen and dining area are separated from the living zone by a functional furniture wall.
Clean white cabinetry, warm oak detailing and softly upholstered dining furniture create an elegant, cohesive kitchen and dining setting. Generous glazing opens the room towards the garden, bringing abundant daylight into the interior, while integrated storage, subtle lighting and carefully selected finishes keep the composition refined and uncluttered.
The kitchen is arranged as a continuous composition of white full-height and lower cabinets, with a warm oak-lined section defining the main working area. The timber finish introduces natural warmth between the crisp white fronts, while integrated black ovens provide a precise contrasting detail. Under-cabinet illumination highlights the pale worktop and light stone-effect backsplash, creating a softly illuminated horizontal band. A compact coffee machine and a few everyday kitchen details add a sense of use without disturbing the clean architectural lines.
Extending into the room, the substantial kitchen island provides additional workspace and storage while establishing a natural transition towards the dining area. Its white monolithic form contrasts with the surrounding oak and creates a bright centre to the composition. In front of it, a large dining table with softly rounded corners is finished in warm natural wood and supported by a sculptural central base. Six upholstered dining chairs in a light beige fabric surround the table, their curved backs and generous proportions adding softness and comfort.
Above the dining zone, two oversized black pendant lights with rounded dome-shaped shades create a bold visual accent. Their dark finish stands out against the predominantly white interior, while the smooth curves echo the rounded forms of the dining chairs and table. A slim linear pendant suspended above the kitchen worktop provides a more discreet source of light, complemented by concealed LED strips that emphasize the oak-lined section of the cabinetry.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs along the side of the dining area, providing an uninterrupted view towards the garden. Mature trees, a broad green lawn and the characteristic white vertical fence visible outside become part of the interior composition, adding colour and depth to the restrained palette. The abundant natural light also accentuates the subtle grain of the oak surfaces and the soft texture of the upholstered chairs.
The balance between white architectural cabinetry, warm timber, neutral textiles and strong sculptural lighting gives this Komfoo kitchen and dining area a sophisticated yet comfortable character. Functional elements are integrated into the overall architecture, allowing the interior to remain visually calm while retaining all the practical qualities of a contemporary family home. This considered approach reflects the work of STUDIO KONDE and its Poznań-based interior architecture practice, where material, proportion and everyday functionality are brought together in carefully designed residential interiors.

Techplan house interior designed by STUDIO KONDE Konrad Idaszewski Architekt, combining contemporary architecture with a warm, carefully balanced interior. Project details: https://conde.pl/portfolio/gotowy-projekt-wnetrz-domu-techplan/ . The Techplan concept belongs to the Modelowedomy collection of three individually configurable houses and is defined by a modern flat roof and an open living space connecting the lounge, dining area and kitchen. For clients looking for an interior architect in Poznań, the project demonstrates how a generous open-plan layout can remain comfortable and clearly organized.
Warm oak cabinetry, soft grey upholstery, dark accents and extensive glazing create a calm and sophisticated living environment. The restrained palette gives the interior a timeless quality. Carefully placed furniture and lighting define the individual functions without closing the space into separate rooms.
A large sectional sofa in light grey-beige fabric occupies the foreground. Deep seats, broad cushions and generous proportions create a relaxed lounge arrangement. Several loosely positioned cushions add texture and a casual residential feel. In front of the sofa, two round coffee tables introduce a sculptural accent. Both have smooth light-coloured tops and cylindrical bases formed from a fine vertical lattice. Their different sizes create a layered composition over the dark textured rug.
Facing the seating area, a large flat-screen television stands freely in front of the glazed façade. Two tall, narrow speakers flank the screen on minimalist white bases. This freestanding arrangement keeps the media zone visually light. It also leaves the garden visible through the windows behind it.
Further inside, the kitchen is integrated into a wall of warm oak-toned cabinetry. Full-height timber fronts create a strong architectural backdrop. A dark stone backsplash with expressive light veining introduces a contrasting horizontal band. Concealed LED lighting runs along its upper edge and softly illuminates the work surface. Black pendant lighting adds another dark accent above the kitchen and dining zones.
The dining area sits naturally between the kitchen and living room. A rounded table and softly upholstered chairs continue the neutral palette. Their curved silhouettes contrast with the linear cabinetry. Warm timber surfaces provide visual continuity between the two functional zones.
Large glazed openings extend across the side of the living area. Mature trees, lawn and a white vertical fence are visible outside. Natural daylight emphasizes the grain of the oak cabinetry and the textures of the upholstery, rug and coffee-table bases. The resulting Techplan interior combines open-plan functionality with a refined material palette and a strong connection to the garden, reflecting the residential interior design work of STUDIO KONDE in Poznań.

Completed in 2015, this 4 BR, 2 1/2 bath was designed for a developer with a intolerably tight budget. Our simple solution employs a straightforward mix of flowing spaces borrowed from California great room houses with design elements found in more traditional residential design.
The house is entered through a generous entry hall flanked by a formal Dining Room on one side and a Home Office/Den on the other. The far end of this Entry Hall deposits into a large Great Room and open kitchen that is this home's gathering and entertainment hub. A small alcove at the end of the kitchen allows for everyday meals while the island functions as this entire space's focal point. Completing the entertainment concept of this level is a covered porch accessed through a sliding door in the Family Room.
The upper level is accessed via a stair at one end of the plan and is organized around a wide hallway that terminates in a tech space for kids. 3 generous children's bedrooms and an ample Master Suite with a view toward the Olympic Mountains complete this level. Finish selections throughout the house were purposely kept clean, light and simple. The exterior form of the house, while simple, allows for a variety of roof schemes that appeal to different price points in the marketplace. We also designed a bonus room option that can be accessed via the stair and resides over the garage.

This cozy lake cottage skillfully incorporates a number of features that would normally be restricted to a larger home design. A glance of the exterior reveals a simple story and a half gable running the length of the home, enveloping the majority of the interior spaces. To the rear, a pair of gables with copper roofing flanks a covered dining area and screened porch. Inside, a linear foyer reveals a generous staircase with cascading landing.
Further back, a centrally placed kitchen is connected to all of the other main level entertaining spaces through expansive cased openings. A private study serves as the perfect buffer between the homes master suite and living room. Despite its small footprint, the master suite manages to incorporate several closets, built-ins, and adjacent master bath complete with a soaker tub flanked by separate enclosures for a shower and water closet.
Upstairs, a generous double vanity bathroom is shared by a bunkroom, exercise space, and private bedroom. The bunkroom is configured to provide sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people. The rear-facing exercise has great views of the lake through a set of windows that overlook the copper roof of the screened porch below.

We kept the feel of the original mid-century design in the living room – retaining the paneling, fireplace, flooring and trim even though we opened it up to more natural light and better flow to other rooms. A new adjoining eating bar and generous view through the kitchen to the rear yard, balances the existing placement of a generous row of windows facing the street.

Giving a nod to mid-century modern styling, we created a kitchen that is both simple and refined - with just a touch of detail. The beveled inner profile of the Nova door gives it distinction, while affording the client an easy cleanability. The vaulted ceiling, with skylight and large window demand a generous volume of cabinetry to be of proper proportion. A variety of island storage options (various depth pan and utensil drawers, a pullout pantry for oils and condiments, tray storage), plus a multi-purpose pantry cabinet, and a matching desk unit provide a wealth of storage options and unify the space. With the generous island, complete with cooktop and prep sink, the kitchen is perfect for this gourmet cook to entertain their guests.
The client wanted a non-traditional top trim which would add both height and a broad horizontal line; we used a 7” high panel with applied bevel molding top and bottom. A bevel molding was also applied to the light valance: these bevel compliment the aesthetic module of the Nova door. The architect requested a large valance to house the electric window blind. The valance also incorporates light sconces which shine on the counter from a reasonable distance as the ceiling was so high; this was achieved using a matching Nova wainscot panel. The architect also wanted matching end panels on the island, yet the island cabinets did not match because they were different depths. On one side we provided 15” deep drawers and 15” wide side panel; on the opposite side we had a 24” deep pullout pantry with 15” wide side panel pulled to the front - so the question was, what to do with the 9” wide blank area? The solution: we had a 15” wide cabinet made with a 24” wide door that overlapped the blank area. By using touch latch hinges, it looks like a fixed panel flanked by two 15” panels. It’s amazing what Wood-Mode will make.

LOCATION: MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
The renovation of this midcentury home centers on a complete transformation of the kitchen, which reshaped how the house functions and connects to its surroundings. The original layout relied on low cabinetry that failed to take advantage of the room’s generous volume. Mandarina Studio reworked the plan to improve circulation and take full advantage of the home’s soaring height and natural light.
The redesigned kitchen replaces a dated peninsula with a generously scaled island that supports both everyday use and entertaining. Cabinetry was reimagined vertically as well as horizontally, allowing storage and display to extend upward and reinforce the room’s proportions. A custom china cabinet with tall glass doors framed in blackened iron and finished in white oak adds presence and refinement.
At one end of the kitchen, a dedicated bar introduces a more intimate moment. Art, layered lighting, and wall-mounted sconces give this area its own identity, offering contrast to the openness of the main kitchen while supporting entertaining. Clerestory windows introduce shifting daylight throughout the day, bringing depth and movement to the quartzite focal wall at the range. Pendant lights reference midcentury forms in a refined, contemporary way. The completed kitchen was featured on the cover of Modern Luxury Interiors.
The renovation extended beyond the kitchen to include a new primary bath, a refreshed guest bath, and updated furnishings throughout the living and dining rooms. In the primary bath, marble with expressive veining is paired with a custom floating white oak vanity, balancing warmth and restraint. In the living room, a new picture window frames wooded views, while the furniture plan grounds the space. A turquoise Murano glass chandelier introduces color and artistry, adding a distinctive, personal note to the interior.
