A master bedroom worthy of being called a retreat. Natural light pours into this room from the both the transom behind the bed and the large sliders across from it. The wall of blonde wood built ins keep the room light and airy while adding tons of functional space including a small desk area. The white reading chairs and white bedding keep the room crisp and modern but the rich grays in the rug and bed frame give it warmth. The ribbon fireplace with a marble surround bring in a natural element that's picked up in the room's accessories, darker wood accent tables, small planters with vibrant succulents and magnificent corals.

Beach style guest bedroom photo in Orange County with white walls

This one is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it in my own backyard, it is also the first remodel project I've gotten to do for myself! This space was previously a detached two car garage in our backyard. Seeing it transform from such a utilitarian, dingy garage to a bright and cheery little retreat was so much fun and so rewarding! This space was slated to be an AirBNB from the start and I knew I wanted to design it for the adventure seeker, the savvy traveler, and those who appreciate all the little design details . My goal was to make a warm and inviting space that our guests would look forward to coming back to after a full day of exploring the city or gorgeous mountains and trails that define the Pacific Northwest. I also wanted to make a few bold choices, like the hunter green kitchen cabinets or patterned tile, because while a lot of people might be too timid to make those choice for their own home, who doesn't love trying it on for a few days?At the end of the day I am so happy with how it all turned out!

Clean and fresh white contemporary transitional kitchen dining area stands the test of time. The space features marble backsplash, solid surface white kitchen countertop, white painted shaker style cabinets, custom-made dining chairs with contrast color welt and adjustable solid maple wood table. Blue/gray furniture and trims keep the classic white space in balance.

A young family moving from NYC to their first home in Westchester County found this delightful colonial in Larchmont New York. Studio Dearborn teamed up with Classic Construction Group to redesign space. They stole four feet from the adjacent family room to accommodate a new, classic white kitchen open to the family room. Kitchen design and custom cabinetry by Studio Dearborn. The inset cabinetry in Benjamin Moore White Heron is crafted from solid maple. The island is crafted from Rift sawn oak in a custom charcoal stain. White Macauba countertops give a soft earthy ambiance to the room. Cherner style stools are walnut veneer. This sophisticated bathroom pairs bold lines with refined luxury. A furniture style black double vanity with white counter anchors the space, while graphic tile flooring and an ethereal cloud-motif ceiling add layers of artistry. Mirrored symmetry and metallic accents elevate the design, creating a timeless sanctuary with a distinct edge.

This spacious master suite was inspired by the design of a Balinese villa. It's indoor-outdoor design was created by incorporating pocketing glass doors along two walls so that a whole corner of the room opens up to the back lawn. The vaulted ceiling connects the master bath, while a slat wall frames the closet and creates a feature wall for the master bed. The walls are white, the floors are gray porcelain, the slat wall and custom nightstands are teak, while the four poster bed is draped in mosquito netting and piled high with white bedding. The rug is jute. The blue-green accents were inspired by the custom throw pillows on the bed and the landscape painting by local artist Pepe depicting traditional canoes along the shoreline.

Kitchen design and remodel with black and white cabinetry, gray and white leathered quartzite countertop and slab backsplash, a marble niche, polished nickel fixtures and a butcher block walnut, Sub-Zero Wolf gas range top, stainless steel double oven, and refrigerator. Nearby fireplace has a newly designed mantel, tile surround and hearth, and painted to match black kitchen cabinetry.

A quiet place to unwind at the end of the day was the top priority for this Thousand Oaks client. Soothing plum accents against crisp white bedding. Custom built double-sided barn door that serves as dual purpose, first and foremost as a layered headboard, and seconds as a privacy door simply by sliding across to the vanity area. The client inherited the small side table, which we painted in a charcoal black and now serves as a nightstand. The bathroom vanity was raised 6 inches and custom arched toe kicks were added.
