The secret to a divine master bedroom starts with luxury bedding. Layer pillows with multiple textures, tones and fabrics to add visual interest along with a bench at the end of your bed.

The raised back patio is just two steps down from the great room/kitchen. On the left is the mudroom which links the house to the garage and home theater. Just out of view is an outdoor fireplace.

The new white bead-board ceiling and wood floors in the kitchen match that of the family room, creating a natural continuity of parallel lines between rooms. The winding veins in the gray and white granite, used as both counter and backsplash, create a subtle and beautiful contrast to the strong lines of the white cabinetry. The brushed nickel hardware and faucets offer shiny, modern accents, and the custom X detail on interior lit cabinets provide a striking focal point for this lovely, duo-tone kitchen. With a little bit of love, you can transform your kitchen into a space you love to spend time in! Many people are so used to their surroundings that we don’t realize what a little bit of paint and new finishes can do to change a room. That’s exactly the case of this kitchen. Actually, the cabinetry was already refinished prior to us coming into the picture, our clients couldn’t wait! So, we had the opportunity to incorporate those finishing touches to really seal the deal of this space. Today, this kitchen is up-to-date and classic. It really will stand the test of time! To learn more about this space, continue reading below:
Cabinets
The cabinetry was already refinished prior to us doing our magic. But we love how the crisp and clean finishes of the cabinetry pairs so well with the new finishes and materials we incorporated. To elevate the cabinetry, we embellished the doors and drawers with 5 inch “Emerald” hardware from Top Knobs (TK288BSN).
Countertops
At first glance, you may have noticed we incorporated beautiful marble countertops to this space. So, what if we told you those countertops are not made of marble? Actually, not even close! These countertops are a beautiful 3cm Cambria quartz in the finish “Ironsbridge”. The specs of grey and veining in the countertops might have fooled you! We love the way it looks in this space.
Backsplash
Subway tiles have been around a long time. Still, we love the classic look of subway tile and our clients are always requesting it! A simple way to add interested to subway tile is to utilize tile with beveling, create a contrasting pattern, and add contrasting grout color, as we have done here. Here we have utilized a 3×6 Daltile Rittenhouse Square with beveled edges as the main tile. Then, over the range, we have framed the tile and changed the pattern to herringbone to add some pop!
Fixtures
The fixtures of this space are classically styled as well. From Blanco, we have the main sink in a Precis Super Single Bowl in White paired with an Atura kitchen faucet with pull-down spray in stainless steel. Then on the island, we have a Precis Medium Bowl in White and an Atura Pulldown bar faucet in stainless steel, also from Blanco.

This kitchen makes everyone want to spend time cooking. The palette was kept light with whites, grays and slate blue. This custom backsplash of ceramic tiles in varying hues of white and gray balances the quartzite countertops. We focused on a rustic modern aesthetic, the brass hardware on the cabinetry is repeated throughout on the acrylic counter stools and mixed metal pendants

Project highlights include Hickory Chair custom furniture, a faux shagreen oval coffee table, gray linen swivel chairs, a Tibetan lamb lucite bench. The dining area features a playful, foil wallpaper with bicycle illustrations.

This kitchen just needed a little freshening up. We painted all the cabinetry and replaced beadboard on the vent hood and the island with a vertical shiplap application. The island is highlighted by the amazing granite.

This 1970's home had a complete makeover! The goal of the project was to 1) open up the main floor living and gathering spaces and 2) create a more beautiful and functional kitchen. We took out the dividing wall between the front living room and the kitchen and dining room to create one large gathering space, perfect for a young family and for entertaining friends!
Onto the exciting part - the kitchen! The existing kitchen was U-Shaped with not much room to have more than 1 person working at a time. We kept the appliances in the same locations, but really expanded the amount of workspace and cabinet storage by taking out the peninsula and adding a large island. The cabinetry, from Holiday Kitchens, is a blue-gray color on the lowers and classic white on the uppers. The countertops are walnut butcherblock on the perimeter and a marble looking quartz on the island. The backsplash, one of our favorites, is a diamond shaped mosaic in a rhombus pattern, which adds just the right amount of texture without overpowering all the gorgeous details of the cabinets and countertops. The hardware is a champagne bronze - one thing we love to do is mix and match our metals! The faucet is from Kohler and is in Matte Black, the sink is from Blanco and is white. The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank with a warm wood tone - which helps bring all the elements of the kitchen together we think!
Overall - this is one of our favorite kitchens to date - so many beautiful details on their own, but put together create this gorgeous kitchen!

The bright white, black and gray open kitchen features both white lacquer cabinets and semi-custom shaker style French Grey matte base cabinets. Polished jet black Ceasarstone countertop and island provide the perfect workspaces, while stainless steel Fisher Paykel, Bosch, Kitchen Aid, and GE appliances finish off this urban dream kitchen.

The name "Himmeli" is derived from the Swedish term for sky or heaven, but it was the Finns who brought the term into notoriety with their geometric Christmas decorations. True to form, the constellation-like pattern of this Himmeli Matelassé bedroom will have you starry eyed as you prepare to rest your eyes. Crafted of 100% cotton in cool gray, it's as elegantly mellow as a night of stargazing. Time to get your wish on.
