This house is adjacent to the first house, and was under construction when I began working with the clients. They had already selected red window frames, and the siding was unfinished, needing to be painted. Sherwin Williams colors were requested by the builder. They wanted it to work with the neighboring house, but have its own character, and to use a darker green in combination with other colors. The light trim is Sherwin Williams, Netsuke, the tan is Basket Beige. The color on the risers on the steps is slightly deeper. Basket Beige is used for the garage door, the indentation on the front columns, the accent in the front peak of the roof, the siding on the front porch, and the back of the house. It also is used for the fascia board above the two columns under the front curving roofline. The fascia and columns are outlined in Netsuke, which is also used for the details on the garage door, and the trim around the red windows. A boho kitchen with a "modern retro" vibe in the heart of Austin! We painted the lower cabinets in Benjamin Moore's BM 706 "Cedar Mountains", and the walls in BM OC-145 "Atrium White". The minimal open shelving keeps this space feeling open and fresh, and the wood beams and Scandinavian chairs bring in the right amount of warmth!

Inspiration for a timeless carpeted bedroom remodel with beige walls and no fireplace

Check out this huge kitchen island - over 13' feet long! enough for friends and family to gather around while the final prep is taking place...or just to gather for any reason. This gorgeous custom kitchen has mystic grey leathered granite perimeter countertops, in deep charcoal grey. The large center island is topped with a honed Turkish white marble, cut to 2.5” thickness Gorgeous. The backsplash is a painted brick in a white wash to give the brick an old feel. The complementary but different colors make this kitchen pop.

Refreshing the fireplace was high on our to-do list! The fireplace is now a focal point in the house, and with this overhaul, it's newly crafted, dark wood mantel, Roycroft Green painted brick (by Sherwin Williams), and handmade tiles from Clayhaus are just the right elements to make this statement. These homeowners loved the Gustave Klimpt "Tree of Life" and we made the room shine with refinished hardwood flooring and the wood work refresh throughout. We completely updated this home from the outside to the inside. Every room was touched because the owner wanted to make it very sell-able. Our job was to lighten, brighten and do as many updates as we could on a shoe string budget. We started with the outside and we cleared the lakefront so that the lakefront view was open to the house. We also trimmed the large trees in the front and really opened the house up, before we painted the home and freshen up the landscaping. Inside we painted the house in a white duck color and updated the existing wood trim to a modern white color. We also installed shiplap on the TV wall and white washed the existing Fireplace brick. We installed lighting over the kitchen soffit as well as updated the can lighting. We then updated all 3 bathrooms. We finished it off with custom barn doors in the newly created office as well as the master bedroom. We completed the look with custom furniture!
