Tucked behind richly grained wooden doors lies a masterfully designed wine collector’s haven, where craftsmanship meets timeless luxury. Each wall is enveloped in hand-built, precision-cut wooden racks, elegantly cradling bottles at a slight tilt for label-forward presentation and preservation. At the heart of the space, a mirrored niche framed by arched cabinetry showcases premium spirits, while flanking shelves hold stemware and decanters like curated artifacts. Diamond cubbies below add rhythm and function, supporting both casual favorites and vintage treasures. The cork flooring complements the deep amber hues of the shelving, offering warmth and acoustic softness underfoot. Above, custom ceiling panels subtly echo the room’s purpose with branded wooden case tops. This 3-bedroom residence in Bangalore was designed for a family of three who wanted a home rooted in Indian warmth, craft and character, while still feeling refined, functional and contemporary.
The design language draws deeply from traditional Indian aesthetics, expressed through earthy materials, handcrafted details and a rich but calming palette. Raw brick, natural wood, stone, cane, rattan, textured fabrics and earthy hues come together to create a home that feels grounded, tactile and lived-in. Traditional furniture forms are thoughtfully balanced with contemporary lines, giving the space a timeless yet fresh identity.
A strong emphasis was placed on craft. Every element in the home was 100% customised and handcrafted on site by skilled carpenters, allowing each room to carry a distinct sense of personality. Antique wooden pillars and curated props sourced from Kerala add depth, nostalgia and authenticity, while handmade lighting elements bring warmth and artisanal charm.
Biophilic-inspired wallpapers, natural textures and carefully layered materials connect the interiors to nature. Athangudi tiles have been used in key areas to introduce colour, pattern and a sense of regional heritage, creating memorable design moments without overwhelming the overall calmness of the home.
The result is a deeply personal residence that celebrates Indian craftsmanship, natural materials and slow design — a home that is traditional in spirit, contemporary in comfort, and entirely bespoke in execution.

The living room is all about relaxed sophistication. Our custom-designed cabinetry isn't just about storage; it's about defining the space with clean lines and integrated solutions.

These highly attractive bespoke built-in bookcases and matching desk were handcrafted by Claude Clémaron for a period-style home office and library in Putney, southwest London. Traditionally constructed and designed fitted furniture like this has incredible charm and creates a warm, homely and calming atmosphere. Though traditional in style, the fitted furniture has been customised to discreetly integrate modern technology, cabling and wiring into the design. The L-shaped cabinet, for instance, cleverly houses an air conditioning unit.
A bespoke home office full of character
Every detail is detail. From the antique bronze doorknobs to open the cupboard doors to the beautifully crafted, solid oak library ladder to reach the highest shelves.
Handcrafted and hand finished for longevity and looks
The fitted cabinets have been spraypainted in Hardwick White by Farrow and Ball; a timeless light neutral colour with a rich, chalky grey-green hue. Oak has been used to line the upper open bookcases. The natural wood adds a visual contrast to the painted finish of the cabinetry and will be more resilient to wear and tear. Painted shelves can be more prone to chipping and scratching when in frequent use.
Decorative woodworking and period design elements
Traditionally constructed and designed, this bespoke built-in cabinetry features an authentic beaded inset detail on the cupboard doors, as well as distinctive fluting, all adding further dimension and elegance to the high end furniture. The bespoke matching handcrafted desk features integrated storage and a curved right hand detailed panel. The curved edge softens the look and feel of the desk. A smooth skiver leather inlay, made from sheepskin, is a traditional feature that provides a comfortable surface for writing or using a mouse. The inlay’s natural texture and warm tan colour enhance the desk’s visual appeal and creates a pleasant tactile experience.

Eat-in kitchen - mid-sized farmhouse l-shaped dark wood floor eat-in kitchen idea in Minneapolis with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, solid surface countertops, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

Nestled in the heart of Bridgehampton, this charming cottage is the quintessential retreat for leisurely summer days, offering effortless access to the breezy, sun-soaked beaches of the Hamptons.
At the heart of the home is a thoughtfully designed kitchen that blends sophistication with the soothing tones of nature. Overlooking vibrant, lush landscaping, the kitchen features Bilotta Collection cabinetry—fully custom and hand-crafted, finished in Benjamin Moore’s Storm Cloud Grey. The cabinetry’s cool undertones harmonize seamlessly with surrounding earthy greens, creating an overall calming effect.
The countertops, slab backsplash, and integrated farmhouse sink are all crafted from elegant Statuary White marble—a timeless stone prized for its luminous white background and delicate grey veining. Every surface contributes to the clean, sophisticated aesthetic while maintaining a natural, organic feel.
Fixtures including hardware from Armac Martin’s MIX Collection and the Watermark faucet are all in an unlacquered brass finish, complementing the warmth of overhead beams.
As a final touch, the Thomas Hayes TK Stools in solid oak and brass provide both function and artistry, balancing the modern elegance of the space with handcrafted authenticity.

Intentional. Elevated. Artisanal.
With three children under the age of 5, our clients were starting to feel the confines of their Pacific Heights home when the expansive 1902 Italianate across the street went on the market. After learning the home had been recently remodeled, they jumped at the chance to purchase a move-in ready property. We worked with them to infuse the already refined, elegant living areas with subtle edginess and handcrafted details, and also helped them reimagine unused space to delight their little ones.
Elevated furnishings on the main floor complement the home’s existing high ceilings, modern brass bannisters and extensive walnut cabinetry. In the living room, sumptuous emerald upholstery on a velvet side chair balances the deep wood tones of the existing baby grand. Minimally and intentionally accessorized, the room feels formal but still retains a sharp edge—on the walls moody portraiture gets irreverent with a bold paint stroke, and on the the etagere, jagged crystals and metallic sculpture feel rugged and unapologetic. Throughout the main floor handcrafted, textured notes are everywhere—a nubby jute rug underlies inviting sofas in the family room and a half-moon mirror in the living room mixes geometric lines with flax-colored fringe.
On the home’s lower level, we repurposed an unused wine cellar into a well-stocked craft room, with a custom chalkboard, art-display area and thoughtful storage. In the adjoining space, we installed a custom climbing wall and filled the balance of the room with low sofas, plush area rugs, poufs and storage baskets, creating the perfect space for active play or a quiet reading session. The bold colors and playful attitudes apparent in these spaces are echoed upstairs in each of the children’s imaginative bedrooms.
