The open foyer provides a glimpse of the main floor as well as the wood ceilings in the bedrooms off the hallway upstairs. The color of the gray tile continues on the carpet chosen for the open stairs.

Our client wanted their dream home to be an informal place where they could easily entertain and enjoy themselves. We were awarded the interior design and architectural specification package, which allowed us to recommend substantial alterations prior to construction, including raising the ceiling height, removing walls, reconfiguring rooms and entrances, and specifying appealing ceiling, wall and flooring treatments. In this dining room, we added a partial wall and a dark, wood stained transition arch. The partial wall increases the feel of privacy in the room. We cut wallpaper into squares and turned each square when hanging it, to create a subtle, textured visual effect. Each corner has nail head accents. We added a gothic-inspired valance to the window treatments and integrated the drapery cornices into crown molding. This contemporary dining room has a custom dining table with a concrete top that sits on a metal frame. There are two different types of bench seating. In the foreground are benches with an upholstered top in lavendar, and on the other side, there are fully upholstered stools with waterfall skirts. Mohair host and hostess chairs anchor each end of the table. The room's hanging candle chandelier fixture became very popular after being featured on the television series, "Sex in The City." This is a raw basement transformation into a recreational space suitable for adults as well as three sons under age six. Pineapple House creates an open floor plan so natural light from two windows telegraphs throughout the interiors. For visual consistency, most walls are 10” wide, smoothly finished wood planks with nickel joints. With boys in mind, the furniture and materials are nearly indestructible –porcelain tile floors, wood and stone walls, wood ceilings, granite countertops, wooden chairs, stools and benches, a concrete-top dining table, metal display shelves and leather on the room's sectional, dining chair bottoms and game stools. The House by the Creek is an example of design subtlety, finely executed detailing, and preservation of a riparian corridor. The project sits on a wooded lot in an established Dallas neighborhood bordered by Turtle Creek and a busy four-lane street yet feels serene because of heavy tree cover and the orientation of the home. The project modestly uses high quality materials that blend easily with the landscape: slate from India, Texas limestone, almondrilla wood, stainless steel, and copper. We helped build this retreat in an exclusive Florida country club that is focused on golfing and socializing. At the home’s core is the living room. Its entire wall of glass panels stack back, which creates a full integration of the home with the outdoors. The home’s veranda makes the indoor/outdoor transition seamless. It features a bar and illuminated amethyst display, and shares the same shell stone floor that is used throughout the interiors.
