Ronnette Riley ArchitectThis 10,000 sf townhouse sits on one of Manhattan’s most beautiful Upper East Side streets and so the goal of the project was to return the house to its original grandeur. Previously a Kips Bay designer showcase house, the rooms were each designed in a differing style and therefore the lack of cohesion and flow made the house seem choppy. In addition, much of the interior was superficial in the sense that plumbing fixtures were not all connected, walls were “false walls” built in front of existing and much of the construction had to be rebuilt.
The scope included creating a large gourmet kitchen in the rear of the ground floor by closing off the winding corridor and creating a new door opening centered on the main entry hall with a paneled arched pocket door mimicking the original detailing of the parlor floor. The kitchen has a Calacatta Gold stone center island and dinning area flanked by counters that run the length of the east and west walls with glass front upper cabinets. A built-in buffet on the south wall anchors the space. A mud room, with access to the delivery entrance and additional storage space was added off the kitchen. A new slim profile steel and glass French door provides access to a new steel rear deck and stairs to the rear yard. On the second floor, a new tile floor was added throughout and RRA designed new stone mantle pieces fabricated from England in the living and dining rooms.
On the 3rd floor, a new wall was constructed in the 11’ wide central hallway to allow a new 135 sf master closet with custom designed built-in storage units and accessories. This concept was carried through to the 4th floor on a smaller scale and 4 new storage closets were added in the hallway. The existing bathroom on the 4th Floor was gutted and redesigned including a new 5’x5’ extra deep soaking tub and new fixtures. Silver travertine tiles were used throughout to give the room a durable, waterproof finish while also providing a warm, luxurious feel.
The 5th floor was converted into a playroom and TV room for the family’s two young children and was outfitted with chalkboard paint along the entire east wall in the play area and a bold color block wall treatment in the TV room. A new cork floor was installed for durability and resilience to lots of activity yet providing a soft and sustainable floor treatment for its intended user. A full laundry room was also created floor with new cabinetry, plumbing, and floor and wall tile. Additionally, 3 full baths and a powder room were refitted with tumbled travertine tiles on the top two floors. The exterior of the building was refurbished and new lighting and painted doors and frames were installed in accordance with Landmark designation. An additional challenge on the project was that a previously built extension on the PH level was illegally overbuilt and the property had received a violation. A 9 month process of filing drawings, completing zoning analyses and meetings with the DOB Commissioners ensued to get the extension approved allowing us to obtain a permit for the remainder of the work and complete the Certificate of Occupancy.
In spite of the complex process and scattered program, the completed townhouse has a cohesive aesthetic throughout, with upgraded amenities befitting this grand representation of elite New York living.

Tasha learns of Shawn's death, believing it to have been Ghost's work. Kanan and Ghost fight with Ghost the victor, leaving him for dead and burning the evidence. Tommy Learns of Ghost's involvement with Holly. Ghost reveals to Tommy that he was the one killing most of the members from the organization.
Soon after, Tommy shows Ghost the fake ID of Holly and goes solo. Lobo's calls Tommy wanting him to work with him or lose everything. Angela and Ghost reconcile telling her Ghost is dead, but at the risk of her possibly losing her job. Greg threatens to put Angela and Ghost in jail. The police investigate a fire at Ghost's and Kanan's fight, revealing someone escaped, strongly implying Kanan is still alive.

On June 10, 2015, after a very positive critical response to its season 2 premiere, Power was renewed for a ten-episode third season which is scheduled to premiere on July 17, 2016.
Very fantastic, The series follows James St. Patrick, nicknamed "Ghost," owner of a popular New York City nightclub "Truth." In addition, he is a major player in one of the city's biggest illegal drug networks. He struggles to balance these two lives, and the balance topples when he realizes he wants to leave the drug ring in order to support his legitimate business, and commit to his mistress. He seems eerily unhappy with his life, Tommy calling it a mid-life crisis, therefore getting in a relationship with Angela.
He also has to keep his marriage with Tasha (Naughton) and his relationship with AUSA agent Angela Valdez (Loren). With help from his partner in crime Tommy Egan (Sikora), he tries to manage a double life. In the second season James is thrown out of his penthouse after Tasha found out that James took Angela to Miami.

Kanan (50 Cent) who spent 10 years in a drug related crime, also believes Ghost set him up. Kanan has a son Shawn, who drives Ghost around and Kanan uses him to get information on Ghost. In the season 2 finale, Ghost and Kanan indulge in an extremely dangerous fight in a dilapidated building. Ghost eventually stabs Kanan and burns him. But in the final minutes of the season finale "Ghost Is Dead", it is revealed that sprinklers had put the fire out, resulting in Kanan escaping and ends with the line "Nobody broke in, somebody broke out". BRC Remodeling GroupThis contemporary/modern bathroom uses a combination of grey and beige to make a beautiful blend of Greige. The Charcoal stain on the cabinets is also a great blend of the 2 colors giving just enough warmth to the room. We used Marazzi Lounge 14 Spritzer 12x24 porcelain tile on the ground and the decorative inlay on the shower. New Caledonia Granite and BEHR- Studio Taupe on the walls.

This Loft was tastefully renovated back in the '90s, but was due for an update and an expansion of the kitchen and dining areas to accommodate the client's cooking skills and entertaining needs. EnlargIing the island and adding cabinetry to delineate the office, bar and dining areas was a priority. The bathroom was updated to feel like a tranquil spa with beautiful new tile, plumbing fixtures and cabinets. Our biggest challenge was coordinating the entire renovation while our client was out of town for the Summer!
